As a Leafs fan with my dad passing away in August 2020 as a Habs fan, I am honestly sad Carey left the Canadiens he was 100% my favourite goaltender I still remember my dad screaming so loudly whenever he made a great save, good times

Just unreal the devotion that he had for this team and fans. 1st ballot HOF and deserves to get his jersey retired in the rafters. Carey if you ever see this(you won’t) come back and try and win the cup in 2-3 years. If you played that well 2 years ago with a bad knee.. imagine what you could do with this new rebuilt team in front of you and a better healed knee. Don’t give up lol. GOAT

Price played in the style of the goalies who were in the league 20 years before him. Not used to seeing goalies really dive or flail like that anymore. I think that was a big part of his magic, and I'm not even a Canadiens fan.
These are amazing saves, but really his best work was already being in the right spot. So many times his saves would go off his crest and he would smother the rebound with seemingly zero effort. He read the game better than anyone I ever saw. Knew where the shot was coming from and beat the player there usually. Never mind the mental edge he eventually gained over shooters to make them think they needed a perfect shot to score. One of the best ever IMHO.
Carey Price is the only reason Montreal didn't get like 11 1st overall picks since 2005. He kept Montreal relevant, all the while only ever having one 80 point scoring teammate. He's definitely top 3 all time in my books, only behind Brodeur and Roy
