I love the warriors, and the representation of gangs in the 70s. I can tell swan cares about his crew and getting them home safely, but I like to believe swan leaves the warriors after they get home. Finally realizing that being in a gang is stupid and will never lead to anything but soon getting busted or wasted. “This is what we fought all night to get back to? Maybe I’ll just take off” for watching the warriors for the 7th time It was clear to me that swan no longer wanted any more of this gang life

Everything still remained the same, which was Cleon being beaten by The Gramercy Riffs, n Ajax being arrested. In the 🎥, Rembrandt is the youngest, but in real life, David Harris who played Cochise was the youngest, he was 18 wen they filmed it in 1978, n 1979, he was 19. Remember that. N keep this in mind, David Patrick Kelly came up with the taunt from his own experience wen he was younger. He had a neighbor he lived next 2, n he would taunt him. Michael even voiced his character in the video 🎮 n so did James Remar who played Ajax. The original opening was Cleon's girlfriend played by Pamela Poitier saying goodbye n telling him she had a feeling something bad will happen, n Cleon letting his men know their positions b4 they head out 2 The Bronx. So b4 u come at me, think b4 u speak n b mindful of who u talk 2 n watch who u talk 2. U don't know me n I don't know u, but I know wat u r about, based on wat u said 2 me, which u think u know. When dude pulls out the bottles and tells the warriors to come out and play...it was like watching bruce in the jaws movie. A bit scary, but so cool and brutal.
Love this movie. Just ordered two copies of the original book. In 2023. Born in B-more. Been to Manhattan, spent amazing time in the East Village. I'm 61 years wise. Might never see Coney island
@ 7:20, the dude who yelled out of sync would have become self-conscious AF for a good while but was more than likely super grateful his face would have been discernible being toward the back. Now it's the only thing he hears when he watches the film. His fam probably broke his balls for a while, though.

This movie is full of small nits to pick, like if the Warriors are 100 strong, there is no way Luthers carload of Punks are a threat when they get back to Coney. Just because its pre-inet cellphone era, no probl tho, more than willing to overlook these little things. This movie is a masterpiece compared to today's trash.

In the original screenplay Fox makes it to the end of the movie and points out the guys in the Cadillac as the ones who shot Cyrus… except that the director killed off Fox midway through the movie because he didn’t like the actor.
