    Brilliant, thanks, gotta do this soon and just ordered the filter tool. The car care nut on you tube says fill between min and max halfway for hybrids to prevent oil in the inlet.

    Thanks for the video, It would have been good to see which oil you put in... Why skip that ?

      Different oil for different countrys and climates , use the one recommended where you live for best results

    Hello, I'm about to change the oil on such a car, I have a question, why is the car raised on one side to drain the oil, shouldn't the car be level?

  • @tomasmalinak7205

    Hi there, isnt it overfilled? I hearth that engine oil shouldnt be on upper sign of dip stick. Especially on hybrid cars (dont know reason )

    What is part No for the oil filter tool which you use to unscrew/screw the filter on you Toyota Auris Hybrid? Any link to it? Thank you!

    Thank you for this video mate! Shouldn´t the car be perfectly horizontal (flat) when the oil is drained? Shouldn´t you take it off the jack before draining?

    • @paulmeehan1978
      @paulmeehan1978  Před 2 lety +1

      The car being flat makes very little difference with how much oil comes out , maybe a 1/4 cup at the most.

      Normally I'd do the job on a two post lift but I'm showing it for the DIY'er so the car on stands is the version I show . Tha ms for the comment

    Hi there PT. Can I ask you, is this the same oil filter as the 2016 Estate with panroof ? ..... not long acquired this vehicle and find there are a few differences with parts with a non panroof for some reason !!

    • @paulmeehan1978
      @paulmeehan1978  Před 2 lety

      I'm not sure about that , I've not worked on any of the panroof ones

    Just a jack? No jack stands? 👎

    • @paulmeehan1978

      Axle stand is beside the jack , no weight on the jack

    • @paulmeehan1978
      @paulmeehan1978  Před 3 lety

      Jack is clearly visible at 0.15 seconds into the video , it's black and orange and rated for 6 tonnes , check it again you might have missed it

      jack stand is not really vital here because all the wheel will still hold the weight if the jack fails. The car will not crush anyone under it. the ground clearance is tall enough unless you sit down there.

      Very helpful video. Toyota charges £90 to just change this.
