Yes. I get the exclusivity aspect, but there are so many new and young players. My daughter watched her brothers play and now that she's grown up she loves the game but can't get these skins. I think that's a shame, especially the original skins.
No Chad exclusively is what makes the skins good. Otherwise all the skins are basically the same
Yes. Every game should be like this. Have all battlepasses available always. You still have to pay fullprice for them and earn them just like the others, so you still have to put in the work and effort.
This is especially true for passes that you paid for and couldn't finish.
The Master Chief Collection, Among Us, and Helldivers 2 all do this and no one complains. People only complain when they feel like these skins are now limited and exclusive and that's such a terrible mindset for a video game.
They should and anyone arguing they shouldn't is just being a weird elitist. They're skins in a videogame, their supposed rarity doesn't mean anything. Just let me give Epic money for the skins I want and let anyone complaining because they got the skin early cry. You already have the bragging rights of having it early. Meanwhile I have money I am fully ready to give Epic in exchange for skins I want
My little cousin just started playing recently but its not his fault that he couldn't play before since he wasnt born yet so i feel really bad for him.
When Ch2 Season 3 came out I moved to a new house with Internet that couldn’t handle online games like fortnite so I missed out on getting Jules which is my all time favorite skin in the game and even though I have all of the reskins I still wish I had the original every time I get on the game. I know it’s a skin in the game but it’s just something you wished you had that you just missed out on for things out of your control
YO!!! She's my favorite too and I had to miss that season, as well. It bums me out whenever I use one of her variants.

Dear god, I still regret to this day for not getting Spider-Gwen, simply because I stopped after getting to Meowskulls (i have her now). I'm not even too sure if it was burnout or lack of motivation, but man. Now I'm only praying for an alt version of Spider-Gwen and/or Peni Parker to get in to cope. (My best bet is Gwenom, but my other best bet is seeing how Beyond the Spider-Verse is gonna go, considering Gwen has a bigger role lately)
If I have to pay 20$ just for Spider-Gwen, I'll pay for it.
I'm so happy I started playing when I did, when they started getting collab skins in battle passes. I know it's not the most popular idea they've had, but I'm happy. I'm in a Spider-Man phase right now, so while I didn't appreciate getting Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, or Carnage before, I'm SO happy I grinded to get them "just in case." If I joined later on and found out I missed out on Spider-Man or Spider-Gwen especially I would be devastated. Spider-Gwen in particular since she has yet to get an alternate version that they sell in the shop (unlike Spider-Man which has had 2 versions in the shop).
Fortnite should go the halo infinite route with the battle pass. It’s no rush but eventually that should be the system the take on that way people can buy the battle pass and grind it out. It wouldn’t take away from the current pass from my consumer stand point. I know it’s different on the company’s end though. Fortnite has been made into something bigger and that’s because of the player base. Bring back old pass even just for a limited time would be gracing the player base
At this point, sure. I don’t really see a problem plus we can see more players rock the skins they actually want.

1:28 so real 😔, i actually created my account back in 2018 but that time never really had the urge to try fortnite like it’s just not on my list, simply was playing other games… then c2s4 i decided to give it a try and login for once to only play 1 match and that’s it (also claimed the free thor contrail from the first bp page) and left the game again cause i was heavily addicted to apex, then c4s2 was where i tried to actually play the game and still playing until now, i still cant comprehend why i didnt play earlier and this FOMO tactic that epic used is really working out well, my brain hurts everytime i think i’ll possibly never have skins like drift, midas, mandalorian, deadpool, vader, iron man, etc ever again (unless they changed the policy ofc hopefully) but yeah whatever 😀
So question for everyone on the noncollab skins. If fortnite sells them individually for a ridiculous amount, say $20-40 per skin based on time since the pass had them, woulr yoy be upset knowing this? What if they made the same skin but added a small badge or something to show it's not the original?

If you bought battle pass back in the day you should be able to finish it later on. I bought battlepass, but couldn't play back in ch2 s2 due to horrible pc and I've been driven away because main game mode was build only(i lasted only 30 lvls there lol) Few years later(now) I'm having fun in zero build and I regret not finishing the pass back then
I started in Ch 1 S4, and man I really wish I played the Marvel Battlepass and the Superman battlepass.
completely agree; callabs should come back. locking marvel behind the old battle passes is depressing for younger generations that want to be Spider-Man or any of their classic favorites. I do think that Fortnite’s original skins should stay locked behind battle passes to keep the rarity and uniqueness/time-stamp. Just sad to see that some of the ones that could lock in a fan for life are completely unavailable

if they wanna keep exclusivity during bps they should just restrict being able to get the quest and superstyle rewards, limit those to the current active season and allow players to progress any incomplete or out of season battlepass up to the level 100 rewards, which could automatically unlock that seasons base secret skin since those are also usually tied to quests, that way theres still a reason for players to buy them as they come out, but aren't forced into it knowing they can atleast get the basic rewards out of it at any later time

Yeah, I estimate that I usually have my volume knob on my headphones around 7% or so for everything else, but I had to crank it up to 50% to even begin to listen to him comfortably while being able to not struggle to hear him. If I got any notifications while watching, my ears would be bleeding. My headphones get LOUD at even 15% on the knob. No idea why they can even go as loud as they do.
But yeah, some good context for just how quiet he is on my end.

If they bring back old battle pass skins they will lose their value this could cause a controversy cuz the people who already owned the skins will not see them special again. I understand that u all really want those skins u wished to have . I also wished to have skins like midas,ironman etc but you all should just capture the point I'm making.

What the hell is it with exclusivity it's a cosmetic from a virtual video game I usually get to level 100 in the battle pass withing a week or less without buying levels so it isn't hard and I don't have any means to complain either I've been playing since chapter 1 season 6 all the way up to chapter 5 season 2 and have gotten every single battle pass since then anyway it doesn't matter if the characters is from a show or not battle pass skins like peely who are so iconic to fortnite can't be claimed ever other skins like Omega who just looks cool can also never be obtained At this point you should just side with the other guy's because there's no point in adding every marvel battle pass skin and leaving the rest out because it makes you feel better that others won't have it it's the same thing 😐
@@timeranimations because keeping Brand deals exclusive its Just to make you feel better than the others. Besides that, it doesnt make sense to keep it exclusive. Lets pick one exemple: deadpool. How many new players LOVES deadpool and would LOVE playing tons of hours with it? So why would the company lose all the big Money and players feeling left out just because a few players wants them to be the only ones worthy to play with it? The game its growing Every season. Im actually one that came Back after stop playing in 2019. A lot of friends are fresh new to the game. Now They were bought by Disney. So, think about the player pool just getting bigger and bigger and everytime only a smaller percentage of players with skins that EVERYONE wants to buy and play.
Thats why keeping game skins as exclusive makes sense but collabs no. Makes sense for the company, players and etc. Just for that few that wants to be the only ones playing with the good stuff that Will not like it.
I don't think they should what would be the sense in the battle pass if you could just buy the skins. The battle is just exclusive skins for the season and it should be left that way. That would defeat the whole purpose of the battle pass.
I think the more major point is that you get around 8 epic and legendary skins for a little bit more than the price of an uncommon. I understand that it's also time gated so people are more incentivized to keep playing, but some skins seem a bit odd to be kept locked away. All of the collab skins seems especially weird to me, since it means that people who are fans of already lost iconic characters (the entire marvel season, Darth Vader, Peter Griffin, Snake, etc.) who would come to play as them won't be coming to fortnite, since they can't get the skins anymore. They'd make a lot more if they brought the skins back in the item shop at a full price, since people who wanted previous skins would come back and buy them, while others would always get new battlepass for the collabs since they won't want to have to pay a premium for the skin in the future, similar to the current event passes (Yuji from JJK, or shredder from TMNT).
Collabs that are exclusive to battle pass are solely there to help sell the battle pass.
I feel the collab skins should at least have an alt that can be purchased in the shop solely because not everyone was truly aware of what Fortnite had to offer.
I’d love to have the Chapter 2 Season 4 Marvel pass and the closest I have to Wolverine is his Zero alt.

What I think would work is putting Battle Pass skins in the shop, and giving people who already owned the skin a special style, similar to purple skull trooper

yes. all this does is empower the black market for account selling. Also makes zero sense. Imagine if you couldn't buy any cars that were created before you were born. Or couldn't buy any clothes that weren't made until you turned 18. It's just stupid. As someone with an account easily worth $12,000+, I don't plan on selling so that "value" is worthless. Nobody should need to pay that much just for a golden agent peely or an iron man skin. If you're clutching pearls and think that old pass skins being available is a bad thing, my god dude touch grass. It's digital crap.

The short answer is yes. Look at the age of the game vs how many players there were back then, compared to now. It's a no-brainer.
All they'd have to do is launch the seasons on the original dates they dropped and the game could practically run itself (like STW) on another server.
They want people to spend money, this is the way to do it. I've got a plan for this exact scenario and everyone benefits from it.
When fortnite get to their 10 years anniversary they should put old battle pass to the shop.

I feel like if they allowed these skins to be obtained outside of it's battlepass window then people will feel less inclined to stay current with the season itself and the player count will dip and not be consistent. It's the fear of missing out that drives a lot of sales.
I'd be okay with old battle pass skins coming back as long as theres a twist. For me I feel like nothing from chapter 1 should be brought back. And if anything from chapter 2 and up is brought back there should be a twist. First the skins being brought back should be remixes or at least have a major detail that makes it obvious its not from the original pass, and on top of that the skins should be resold seperately or in a bundle that comes with their matching cosmetics (these cosmetics should also be remixed or changed). The remixed or changed skins should have another name that clearly shows they're not originals and should never be sold in bundles that are paired along with other old battle pass skins. No bonus edit styles should be sold in these remixes and they should only have the base style. On top of all of this original pass owners should be compensated with 950 whenever a skin from a season pass is remixed (example if they come out with a changed TNTina and deadpool original chapter 2 season 1 owners should only be refunded 950 for both skins and any other skins remade from that season, instead of 950 for each skin. Basically one refund per season that got remade). And finally original pass owners should be gifted these remakes, re-releases, variants, etc. for completely free
i'd be fine with any battlepass skin beyond chapter 1 came back, there were no collabs in the battlepass which is the thing most people want so yeah

I am more happy if everyone can have whatever they want. Their skins don't affect my gameplay as mine doesn't affect others.
BP skins/emotes, banned skins/motes, and crew skins should be able to get later. Maybe not instantly and without all the benefits. As I said, without vbucks or for real money.
With exclusivity they are only encouraging accounts selling and scams. And making some people don't want to play so much because they can't play with their favourite skins (ex. Drift, that is pretty old and very popular)

I think i have a good way to bring back old battle passes without completely devaluing the incentive to buy a battle pass or to quell people who argue that it's not fair for people grinded for them.
So here's my pitch
Each season when you buy a battle pass there's a additional tab called previous pass selection.
You get ONE Chance each season when you buy the battle pass of the current season to spend an additional 950 VBucks to select one battle pass from C1S2 to the last current battle pass to complete along side the current season's battle pass.
You can only choose one previous battle pass to try and complete per season.
If you don't complete the battle pass you selected you can choose it again next season but for another 950V Bucks to complete the rest of it but you will have to wait untill the season is over to choose another older pass to complete.
If you wanna just buy the entire old pass you selected you can but it will cost the same amount as if you had bought the entire pass during the season it was released
This method not only will allow you to grind a specific battle pass you want instead of waiting for rotation with the item shop approach.
Make it to where you'll have to pay the same amount of money as people did in the pass if you wanna buy the whole older pass you selected
While still having the grinding option too.
Plus since you can only choose one pass per season this won't completely devaule the rarity of every single pass since it will take just as much seasons to be able to choose every battle pass as there are currently.
This method keeps some skins still rare so the gatekeepers complaints won't be as high oh they will still complain but not as much if epic went the item shop route

I just think it's a good method to get the cosmetics you actually want or missed out on. While still basically keeping them exclusive from the item shop.
Basically instead of skins just being exclusive to a certain battle pass it's more of them just being exclusive to battle pass in general.
