Anno 1800 is fun and very underrated. New Settlers new allies on console is fun as well. End zone a world apart is also a good one.
I have XCOM 2 on XSX, PS5, and Switch. I’ve yet to find a better, or even as fun, game that checks as many boxes as well as Firaxis does with this title. Waiting for a massive discount on Midnight Suns before giving that a shot.
I love that game but the amount of missed shots at high success percentage chances is insane

Never ever again - Sid Meier Civilization game
Stupid AI cheats a lot making the entire game illogical. eg Barbarian tribes suddenly have advance tanks when bigger enemy civilizations are still horses and knights. You need advance economy and technology and research to get there. Barbarians can’t even afford spies. It’s dumb and not historical at all.
