Why I'm posting this very unpolished, low-effort video

  • I am putting out this completely unpolished, meandering video for an important reason and it goes against everything I had to learn about human interaction for almost 50 years.
*UPDATE* Thank you SO much for the comments. It's amazing to see how this is resonating. My favorite description of this video in the comments was "ND unmasking."

I was not born Jewish. I did not grow up in a town with Jews. The only discussion of Jew’s growing up was when our history class covered the second world war. Even our church Which was quite fundamentalist, seems to ignore the existence of Jews in the modern world.
But when I went to college, and I met a Jew for the first time, and I went to services At the Chabad house on Saturday morning and heard them sing Ashrei. I knew I had found my home.
Here was a group of people, the first group of people that thought like me, that spoke like me, that asked the same questions as me.
And now a little over two years since that first shabbat, I am just waiting for a call from the Beit Din to meet them at the mikvah.

My journey has led me to Judaism and I love all that you represent - I believe there is a purpose for your content being exposed to me - I find great comfort in your content as well as learning more about Judaism - I hope to finish my conversion soon.

The algorithm threw you my way probably because I watched dozens of videos on narcissism, family scapegoats, psychology, religion, motivational... I could not be more grateful that I was able to connect with this channel. I never imagined that I would be relating to a rabbi of all people on life, etc. But when you teach it's like I'm learning secrets about life and myself that I never even had a clue about. It strengthens my faith in G-d to relate so naturally to someone from a totally different world from the one I'm from. That's another confirmation for me that G-d is All. I recently learned about neurodivergence and autism from you and it has helped me understand 50yrs of a life of loneliness, struggle and confusion. I can't express how grateful I am for your place in my life Rabbi Taub 🙏🏾 Keep shining for G-d. The world desperately needs people like you in these dire times!

I’ve been following you just a few short weeks ago. As a Lubavitcher going back many generations. I feel lost and complexed with today’s society.
You’re a breath of fresh air to me personally despite us not knowing each other. Please don’t be deterred by haters on the contrary as the Rebbe taught us. Haters should make you stronger and more powerful to continue your vital necessary work.

You have helped me find and understand God. YOU DO MORE GOOD THAN YOU KNOW! Please know that you are loved and that you are doing good; you are doing God's work, you are what He created you to be. I have been in recovery almost 34 years. When i got serious about my conscience contact with G.d, i went down many many paths. Some good. Some flat out flaky.
During the time where we had to "stay at home", through what i can only believe was HaShem guiding me, i started to seriously read Torah and Psalms. One thing led to another, i became a bat Noach.
The algo directed me to you about 6 mos ago ? I am less alone, too.
HaKadosh Baruch Hu is bringing like minded/hearted people together so that we may serve Him. That's just what i feel.
I like your channel and i am glad to know you, Rabbi.

From a material, pop culture, atheist existence the algorithm led me to Chabad while looking into the history of law. O.K I'll bite, I was tired of missing Jeopardy religious questions anyway, right? A couple weeks with Rabbi Gordon learning Chumash with Rashi and it hit in an instant, this is divine, it is Truth and I had to learn more. That was around 8 yrs, ago. Without Rabbi's like yourself I would have had no chance to understand the Torah, what the Creator wants from us all and about Yiddishkeit, how Hashem wants us to behave. Learning how to get closer to my true self, understanding myself/others through the Sefirot. Chassidum amaze me, Judaism amazes me. I've almost been struck dumb with awe from the teachings. Thank you for what you do and to all Jews who sacrificed so much to keep the Torah and its Mitvahs, for bringing Gd down to earth and hastening the arrival of the Moshiach. This righteous Gentile is truly grateful and by way of thanks I try to behave the way Hashem wants me to behave......

every person has a narrow perspective of the world/life. we all have blindspots and we think we figured it out. as we get older and wiser we see things we have never seen before. its only logical people don't want to hear all of you. you may be saying something that is controversial that people didn't figure out for themselves and it can overwhelm them (and yourself to be honest) good luck and keep up the amazing work.
