DPS Arrests Teen Smuggler in Val Verde County

A 17-year-old human smuggler from San Antonio led DPS Troopers on a high-speed vehicle pursuit in Val Verde County. The driver, eventually stopped at Laughlin Airforce Base where Troopers discovered the driver and passenger, a 16-year-old, were smuggling five illegal immigrants, including an 11-year-old. Both were arrested for smuggling of persons. The five illegal immigrants were referred to Border Patrol.

The cartels sometimes plan for these smugglers to get caught and while the officers are tied up, they send the drug smugglers through free and clear. Keep fighting the good fight DPS.

Hmmm, and here I thought DPS was able to arrest and deport Illegals. Handing over to Border Patrol so they get released here or to come back here?? Please endeavor to expand on this story please. From the last pic, it looks like the BF and his GF went and got the rest of her Family across. Just my 3 cents.
