As units stay alive in combats, and slay units (Abilities such as leader powers for covey's slow this rate) they gain what is called veterancy stars. All UNITS in game can earn up to 3 stars, spartan units give a VISUAL 14 stars to super units, and 13 to everything else. Stars increase the base stats of your units, as well as ALL upgrades increase base stats.
Hahaha! They just gave up! Great team work. They had enough time to make few tanks, but not enough time to put together a warthog rush. The second I saw those scarabs, I would have went Guerrilla and chewed those bases to shreds. They'd either rush my base or be forced to defend their own. Scarabs are powerul, but they're slow. Warthog Rushing... It's a dead man's strategy, but it works as a last resort.

@jigsaw371 depends on who's doing it, different people have different build orders and a lot of other factors, like supplies gathered, economy, managment of supplies etc...
was playing a Match with my friend. honestly we prolly had the match. we both odsts. I told him that our odst where gonna be the diversion for my vultures but then he decided to take his troops the other and I was like "WRONG WAY" he was suppose to go through the middle... so he runs into grizzles by his base and is caught in that. then I'm like fuck! then the attack is on. the plan is ruin. a scarab fucks my vultures... the diversion was suppose to bring all his odsts to his base. and that'll bring the enemy all to his base. then I bring my vultures to destroy the other base. it was a perfect plan. if only I had a mic
wait your two friend help you. they make seven heavy supply pads and give you the recourses. nevermind i discovered your little trick in about 10 seconds.

someone tried that shit on us, my friend cryo'd it, I double mac'd it and 1 fully upgraded (7 star) scorpion then finished it off, that was all we had, besides tech (i had odst's almost done and my friend had tanks on the way and my other friend i forget but we technically only had 1 tank) and they resigned
no attitude just an honest question i didn't know you never played before and yes theguide book sucks you're better off watching videos or just jumping straight into the game
