Wow. They look delicious and so do the beans. In the early 1970's my Mum used to make very plan fritters and baked beans for a cheap tea, when my Dad was made redundant. I loved them. But these look extra nice and I love your bean dish. Can't wait to try these. Thanks for sharing, Rik.
Never have I wanted to try a recipe more! Looks mouthwatering. I would change one thing and that is I would use black beans as I prefer them to kidney beans. Those fritters look incredible.
My dad used to make us corn fritters when I was a kid. One of my favorite foods of all time! Your recipe is a little different from his. I'll have to give it a try.
Fantastic recipe. I made the crispy corn fritters with fresh cut corn. Delicious! I can see adding jalapeños. Or go crazy and grate zucchini instead of the corn. This recipe is now on my regular rotation!
THANK YOU CHEF RIK FOR YOUR WAY OF COOKING 👌💯 I JUST LOVE YOUR YOUR TIPS AND THE WAY YOU TEACHES US❤ WE NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN 😂 CORNER FRITTER 🌽AND KIDNEY BEANS A FAVORITE 🫘😋
Corn season here Rik,so perfect timing. For me black beans my favorite,South Western style, with jalapeños,and cumin,Mexican oregano, chili, and a bunch of cilantro, and maybe a plate of Jersey beefsteak tomatoes. That Rik is my perfect summer meal.😊☀️
Best chef, never seen so many easy things to make at h9me without a fuss. Ooo these look scrumptious. Thanks Rik. Definitely cooking them for the deep freeze
My Mom made them and grated potato fritters, which I never get right and she wont tell me how she makes them. Anyhow, thats alright because I met Rik, the Yorkshire Chef
Looks delicious. We do fried corn fritters with cornmeal at my house . I'm going to try your smokey beans with them soon. Warm comfort food for autumn. Blessings to all ❤
Oh my! Both of those recipes would be great with bbq!! Here in the States, we can get frozen roasted corn with bits of char on them. Might be nice in the fritters as well.
I made this as dinner one night last week and got begged to put it in rotation. Tonight I have chicken pumpkin chili in the slow cooker and am making the fritters as a side.
Looks yummy Rik! Do you ever use tomato paste from a tube? I have used this for years as I rarely need a whole can, and then you have to keep the remainder fresh somehow until you need it. Just wondering??
I bet anchovies(they are expensive) could take the place of salt in those beans, also a couple drops of liquid smoke might be good. Good ole cheddar, the most brilliant cheese in the universe :) This concoction looks delicious...good one Rik :)
Hi Rik! Ima gonna fry me up some corn fritters! (Did you catch my attempted Southern drawl there? - yeah, ok. I’ll stick to my own cherished unique Rhodesian accent!) Anyhow, have you tried these with creamed sweetcorn? I think I might try that sometime but I only have whole kernels in my pantry at the moment so I’m going to do your ones!
@@BackyardChef It's basically the same technique for the baked black beans... My kidney bean problems began as a child with my grandmother's chili... Listen my friend , why do you fry in olive oil as a chef you know i am sure that olive oil should be used as raw. As for salads dressing on Pasta dishes Etc .
You can fry in any oil. Just be aware of heat temperatures. So if you want to use Olive oil for just salad dressing get on with it and stop trying to be clever on here! Why should it be only used for dressings? Thank you. Best, Rik
