Why dose this music feel so natural to me? Im a Norwegian and everytime i listen to Wardruna and music like this it stirrs up emotions no other music can come close to, feels like im borne in the wrong century
Idk if it's just me but this music is really spellbinding....I'm Albanian but I cry at every song from Wardruna and I don't know a single word of norsk

I was in nursing school when the pandemic hit. I used to listen to this every day on the way to my clinical rotations to keep calm and keep moving forward. My anxiety those mornings were horrible and i didnt know how i was going to make it at all especially with a pandemic in the mix. Now I've been working as an RN for almost 2 years. I come back and listen every now and again to remind of what it took to get here

I just had the most intense experience listening to this for the first time. I was having a bath and despite always having been a city guy, I suddenly dropped any connection I had to this urban life in the UK and really want to experience the nature of Norway. This is incredible. I've never had this kind of emotional connection straight away. This music, along with my growing distrust of technology, has convinced me I need to get to Norway. I'm now researching the idea.

@@Viennery I know she's Canadian, but can't you see that this album was very, very obviously influenced by Nordic and Viking culture? From the music, to the lyrics, to the inclusion of the most famous living Norwegian folk musician, its very clear. This band captured that spirit perfectly.
@@loqjaw that’s also her sound though, not just this song. It’s the sound of Canadian aboriginal music, so I think we can agree that Canada and Scandinavia share similar northern influences on their music.
When I close my eyes to this music, I’m in the cold Canadian wilderness. It’s the feeling that comes with the land.

Well, actually Western Slavs are mixed with plenty of Viking and specifically in Estonia/Lithuania and a bit of the neighboring areas have the highest genetic component of the tall, often blonde original hunter-gatherer types of Europe which were largely replaced by other population types in the rest of Europe. I dunno, I just thought that was cool 😁

Yes it is....I started listening to it after losing in a tragic way at 24 yo my best friend who was like a brother to me as we grew up together....he used to love Norse mythology and Wardruna so much (he even knew how to understand and use runes and was learning old Norse) but I used to not understand why he liked it so much....now that I lost him I started to listen to Wardruna in order to cope with the pain and it became my inspiration to go on and not give up on my life by letting depression win over me ❤️
