    You're doing a great job you're honest you say what you do know and what you don't. Since you're talking about the third world countries I was just wondering what the second world countries are and you sound like you've been to the other countries so you could be more specific what countries to deal with and what not would be help Thanks. Just a little tip. There are 9 countries that have higher GDP than we do here in America so I'm hoping you won't include those as a third world countries it is Northwestern Europe Germany France England etc and in Asia Japan where all those precious 3 wheelers came from

    Great Q&A after the lesson. Only months away from 70, get a grip on felling old at 50? Diet and exercise is the key, a lot of luck helps a bunch. Later.

      @mrcbuilds  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Sure thing, until then you can get flywheel puller on amazon the one by motionpro is good. Or you can use the front axle thread it into the flywheel and that will pull the flywheel off, careful not the lose the key, then align thr key up and use the flywheel bolt to reinstall.

    • @camiloalvarado2580
      @camiloalvarado2580 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the reply. Would it be safer to get a new flywheel bolt for the reinstall? Just dont want to break it in the flywheel. Seen your other videos and you mentioned if that happened the motor would be screwed so i dont want to do that lol

    • @mrcbuilds

      I have reused the factory bolt many timeso slow and make sure you do not cross thread the flywheel and the it is aligned on the crank@@camiloalvarado2580

    Sounds like a stupid question but the engine is slightly leaning towards the front of the machine so When you say straight up do you mean straight up and down or are you referring to straight with the engine?

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  Před rokem +2

      Straight with the engine. Or inline with the engine.

      @@mrcbuilds sweet thank you. I stumbled across one of your videos the other day and got the urge to pull the old 200s thats been torn apart for two years out in the barn and got the alignment done today and put in the bike and ran great on starter fluid but need to clean the carbs and tank before i fire it up for final tuning and ride. Thanks for the great informational videos

  • @landacottonmetaldetecting3826

    After watching a few times I finally got this 200S timed right, thanks. Question, where is a good place to find some good used rear wheels for it? The ones on it are rusty and rough.

      Ebay or one of the online forums

    So if l want l can change the timing, should l use a timing light? And if yes we're should l put the timing light flash on tdc or the f fire position idling!

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  Před 10 měsíci +2

      I try to always replace the cahin and the guides its only about $40 more no lite is needed the timing is set with the motor off.

  • @auto5man
    @auto5man Před rokem +1

    Another great video Mr C. Kind of a random question not particularly dealing with timing, lol. Can you recommend a particular compression tester brand? Need to purchase one, and the quality seems all over the place (and prices) with lots of folks complaining of inconsistent readings when they buy cheaper HFreight or even NTool brands. But how much is enough to spend? Do you have to buy Snap On or Mac? Or can you get good results in the 80 to 100.00 range, speedway for example? I have never used one or even held one in hand, so no experience to draw on.

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  Před rokem +1

      I have 2 different autozone compression testors. Both read the same. When it come to compression 5psi is not a game changer. 20psi is. So a gauge that is plus or minus a few psi is no big deal as long as its consistant. An engine with 100psi really isnt any different than one with 95 or 105psi. If your reading 70 you need to rebuild

    One turn of a camshaft half a turn of a crankshaft. One turn of a crankshaft two turns of a camshaft. It is that plain.

  • @anthonynicholich9654
    @anthonynicholich9654 Před 4 měsíci +1

    You are doing a great job but I disagree on the clear coat. Those machines were not clear coated from the factory and what happens when the clear coat starts chipping and falling apart?? Then it even looks worse. I rather have it somewhat dull but never have to worry about clear coat peeling and you know that clear coat is NOT made in Japan so is not the quality that will last

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  Před 4 měsíci +2

      True, most of these parts werent powder coated either. And honestly how much UV are these every really foing to see. Automotive grade clear is pretty tough, easy to apply and cheaper than other options. I prefer to keep my project in house for no other reason than to keep cost down. I do want to look into a home powder coat system. Thanks for watching

    • @anthonynicholich9654
      @anthonynicholich9654 Před 4 měsíci

      You're right on the powder coating and I know you don't restore you just preserve like I do. I am talking about these other places at least here in this miserable state of Southern California lol that powder coat frames and other parts which is great it's tougher than the paint but also harder to repair them paint but it's over restoring if you're looking for that originality. Sorry I did not word right and use the right grammar on this last message but I'm sure you get what I'm saying
