Senna Kench is powerful, but itâs time to drop it down on that priority list. Other teams know T1 will lock it so they draft to counter it and it always ends the same way unless Senna gets kills early and snowballs which rarely happens.

âââ@@YCHTT All the top teams are on a similar level . It is the draft that gives them the hugest lead. Gumayusi having 30% better spacing than Hans Sama or Peyz will barely matter if the enemy comp completely shuts down Guma while Peyz/ Hans can free fire auto.
Drafting is the most important skill in the game and that is managed by the team coach. Did you think T1 won Worlds because they somehow magically played better? No they were even worse than they previously were. Their summer split was horrible. But Coach Tom rofl stomped every team in drafting.
Now that Kkoma is back and takes charge we have this garbage again where all the wrong champs are prioritised
Gwen, Gnar, K'sante, Aatrox, Yone, Jayce, Vayne, Urgot, Graves, Camille, Fiora, Jax, GP, no none of those picks, they prio TF every game....

Game 1 draft : Its funny how the team that started the vayne top counter tank matchup actually picked ksante on 4th with vayne unbanned while teams in MSI actually ban vayne before picking tank top...left me speechless when you thought T1 was going for the Zeus last pick maybe baiting Bin into Ksante then picking vayne on 5th, feels like ego drafting "I can play Ksante into Bin's vayne no worries"

Why does T1 always have these weird annual issues around MSI? Is it the meta? Cause their drafts and ingame engages/decision making always take a nose dive around that time and start stabilizing again when Worlds start.
Yeah it's the meta. Zeus can't even use his main champs, Faker's picks are always banned, lane swap is giving trouble to them as well.

I honestly don't know why the team considers him to be banned out and starts drafting poorly. This guy is known for probably having the deepest champion pool in the professional scene ever. Going to literally any confidence pick, even if it's off meta, I believe he can make it work. I mean, his Ryze is beyond famous? Bring back the Riven to absolutely blow minds? There's so much he can play with comfort.

His champion pool is laughably small in recent years. That doesn't mean he can't play anything, he can play everything tbh. But not to the high level that the top mid laners play the meta champions. We saw this a lot especially during 2023 LCK summer playoffs where he essentially only played 2-3 champs and looked horrible if not on Azir.
The "champion ocean" thing just isn't true for 2024 faker.

Faker needs to master at least 8-10 champs and be ready to play at any time. He's clearly not there and his champs aren't diverse enough. I would think his corki is very comfortable for him and he made so many mistakes vs blg.
Faker struggled a lot but what makes me scratch my head was that faker got banned out, so why is it that owner can only play Xin effectively? Banning out faker should give the rest of the team much more room flexibility to draft but they still draft the same. They are definitely in a slump and tunnel visioning. Hope they don't lose to TL because clearly they are very predictable right now

His champion pool might be small among meta picks, but if he deviates from meta picks, it's a lot more vast, and that's actually my point. Why tunnel into a meta pick he can't play when he'll do a lot better on off-meta champions, which will just be a lot more beneficial for the team as a whole? Honestly, there's no need for him to necessarily play meta picks. He was defining meta in his early days, so he might as well try to do it again now rather than play horribly.

I'd rather see him play a comfort pick than try to master a meta pick, because like you said, it's not working out and it makes them predictable.
As for Oner, to be honest, I don't think he is having too many issues by himself. A lot of the issues are team-wide, and macro is just not there. It feels like they're playing a solo queue game almost.
