The thing about Bwipo is, that he is not afraid to go out there. He shares his opinions, thoughts, and what he believes to be the right thing without any filter. And he does it with the utmost conviction to ensure an honest approach. The disadvantage of this is that you step on many toes and open yourself up to criticism, whether deserved or not. I'd rather have 100 Bwipos than all the silent backseat drivers who hide their failings with silence. This goes for a competitive environment where people need to take responsibility not just after, but also before the games. And it goes for the entertainment aspect of this industry where we can be happy to have someone like Bwipo who is so outgoing and open to share his knowledge about the game. He has strong opinions, thoughts on how to read and play the game - they can backfire as any other approach and as a veteran who wants to help not just his team overall but also his rookies losing like this hits even harder.
Respect for our bro Bwipo bro
Thing is, he seems extremely attached to the things u mentioned. kinda tends to make u emotional and ignorant to what's going on around you. Strive for commitment, but never attachment.
bro ran it that last series hope he feels better and plays better
100 Bwipos is the rebrand 100 Thieves needs.
Soooo we’re glazing?
Raw emotion… this is what it means to these guys when they take the stage.
maybe they should show the dedication and grind BEFORE they take the stage. they spend all their time with twitter dramas and podcasts, then end up being absolutely useless in internationals and crying about it. Then their fans are like oh look it means so much to them.
if their fans and casters start holding them accountable like the eastern fans do, maybe they wouldn't be trash every year.
Its not emotion for what it means to be on stage. Its regret and remorse in the moment of failure. Maybe if they showed this during scrims and during lcs they might actually be worth something for msi or worlds.
@@DoubleMeatpalace how do you know this emotion isn’t shown in those moments? These guys don’t have their lives recorded every second. It’s also weird to say this about Bwipo who always gave it his all.
A lot of people are a bit too entitled to be sharing their opinions...viewers never know better what it takes to actually perform on the stage and deliver against serious competition. It can be really daunting to have so even just a little pressure. Yet fans demand an endless amount of expectations but are not ready to put in the effort to support them in the moment. It's frankly downright disrespect, especially in this interview with Bwipo's willingness to try and open up and let fans understand his team's difficulties.
@@blackedout7563 No one knows if they "gave it their all" or not. Even if he says he did you don't actually know. All you can do is look at how they played. They got smoked by a minor region which probably means they didn't take it seriously enough. Him being emotional afterwards doesn't mean anything.
He grinded to 900 lp challenger on the korean ladder before the tournament playing 10 games a day for 2 weeks. He definitely put in the work and that's something to respect even if the results weren't there.
Bwipo ego check deserved

@@davidtom6503 that's not including scrims and other sorts of practice of course.
As a Fnatic fan, I always had huge respect for Bwipo because he tries hard. When I hear him say he made every else in his life secondary I know it's true. LCS are lucky to have someone like him.
i am not even fnatic fan but I always respect everyone who tried hard and is not toxic to community... I like him a lot
he ran it down pretty hard against psg
yea..he tries hard to inting...he sololost so many games to his teams
I mean if he priotizes league wouldn't he stay in eu? I like bwipo esspecialy watching his gameplay cause he explains his thought process a lot and etc. But I think his interviews and etc are a bit more calculated than you think. Of course he is also honest about a lot of stuff but I personally doubt he is being completely hones
if u want to try hard u dont go to lcs, wrong argument
❤ Someone give this man a hug
He doesn't need a hug. He needs International success.
he doesnt need a hug, he needs to not underperform... you are so dumb and cringe
He will be back at NA stroking his own ego in no time, along with Inspired
@@MajeedBelle I think a hug would be more realistic for him
A hug will not help him, a win against T1 will.
BRO after watching psg vs BLG i don't feel so bad about NA losing to them 0_0
Of course feel bad. PSG can take game 5 from BLG. Can FLY take?
same lol
looking forward to g2 vs psg ;]
"na" and its as european as fnatic lol
Then lets take "Major region" title away from LCS and give to PSG
@@funtictoc1660 nah after all although pcs has been consistently hovered between a mid-tier team to a top tier team internationally, they are known to have too few teams that really are at the top tier.... only 2 out of 3 slots of LMS, previous pcs makes difference internationally back then... although if the performance from 2 slots of PCS improves and be on toe to toe with top eu and na then PCS might get promoted to a major region once again
Never been much of a Bwipo fan but the level of honesty on display demands respect. Hope to see FQ back stronger next time internationally.
esports fans in general need to humanize these guys and this type of interview where the emotions are expressed and not bottled. The scene lacks eq but the comments here are very very encouraging. Head up Bwipo, some times it's just not our time but we gotta stay ready and never give up. The real NA fans certainly won't give up on you brother. ❤
This reminds me of the Dyrus interview all those years ago when he couldn't hold back the tears after getting knocked out of worlds because he felt like he let NA down..
Pretty sure u mention the interview of him retiring from pro play.
That was his retirement interview. Not sure about the year but either 14 or 15. If 14, TSM actually made it out of groups that year
@@xTriplexS it was 15, they were last place in groups that year
Wow, Ashley is a master at navigating interviews. It's very difficult to make a person talk when they're emotional like how bwipo is here, they'd normally shut themselves off in front of the cameras.
This also suceeded because bwipo is so sincere and open to begin with. I got big respect for bwipo since the FNC days, hope to see them stronger next time. At this time I'm reminded of something i think rekless said, that LoL is such a cruel sports. Only 5 players get to win, and all other teams get heartbroken on the way up.
"it's very difficult to make a person talk"
We're talking about bwipo here! Nothing easier than to make him talk! 😂
Sure this is the most heartbreaking League of Legends interview that I've ever seen. Inmense job, Ashley Kang. And an inmense huge to Bwipo.
This feels more like a therapy session than an interview. Insane respect for Bwipo and the whole FLY squad.
You ever seen Dyrus retirement speech? Literal tears
man poor bwipo i hope he comes back into summer and worlds stronger, he deserves it for putting his everything into it. watching the yamatocannon interview before msi started he was sooo excited to play. hope he doesnt lose that fire under him :(
He'll get ego checked once again as always.
Man, Bwipo look so done and broken... Cheers to him, hope he'll feel better and bounce back
I think you handled this interview really gracefully Ashley, props
She is a fantastic interviewer
so aware of himself, the game, and how everything fits. truly a pro. My favorite player to follow. Really behind FLY more than every now
This is a sode of Bwipo i honestly hadnt seen before. And i have a lot of respect for him showing it to us.
It really sounds like the loss caught him off guard. I feel this will be a learning moment in the long run.
Hard not to like Bwipo. A real guy, an honest guy. Was sad to see Fly loose. Rooting for you Wide
Love you Bwipo, hopefully you come back to EU and uplift teams here as well
Bwipo is a gem 🥹
Such an important interview, thank you for your great work Ashley, and thank you Bwipo for showing us all the passion you still have with league of legends.
Heads up Bwipo & the Flyquest team
The year is still not over yet, come back stronger 💪
every year you guys say come back stronger, shouldnt they be giga strong by now ?

Thank you Ashley and thank you Bwipo.
This was a great interview.
True professionals both of you~!
thank you Ashley for this interview and Bwipo for being you always
Thank you for everything Bwipo. Whether you continue, take a break, or win worlds, the fans appreciate your love and effort in and out of the game. Stay strong man
i just love when players shows their emotions after a loss. it shows that theyre not only there to show up, play, and pick up checks.
Ashley should be part of the on stage talent bro
Bwipo is impressive! It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to believe in something that seems doomed to most people. You have to be prepared to wait a long time for results, and there's no guarantee that they'll come when you're still involved in the esport scene. The West might take over in ten years, but that's fine. At least you tried to make the region grow. It’s a lot of work, but it takes a strong individual to do it.
Everyday I see something about Bwipo - I like him a little more. He is such a nice personality! GL in your future games my friend
Thank you for this honest interview. I don't want to name them but I only know a few people in the scene who would be able to conduct post elimination interviews that capture the raw thoughts and emotions of the players.
It's the first time I hear something so obvious but yet important, it's everyone's responsibility to find angles to win, people just need to be in a neutral state and be ready to be lead by whoever takes a single advantage
aw man, this was a really honest nterview. didnt expect that. i hope bwipo gets back on his feet. There is always light at the end of the tunnel
Great intel throughout this interview 👍
It's always important to understand that even in regions that don't perform well internationaly, the players there are still the best of the best and dedicate their whole lives to this. They leave their families and friends because at the end of the day they are professionals.
tbh if you lose that hard in the tournament, it rather looks like you are the worst of the best.
Still the best overall, but the worst of the best.
Great interviewing and navigating :( through Bwipo's feeling.
you're an amazing interviewer Ashley, thank you for this :)
"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life."
Granted that there were some mistakes, but the sentiment rings true
I've always had mad respect for Bwipo's heart and passion, and things don't always work out. Many people would have stopped to blame the meta or their teammates but Bwipo is bigger than that. I'll always be a fan.
Bwipo i will never stop admiring you
Huge respect to Bwipo, the way he speaks throughout the whole interview shows how hard he fights for his dreams, I hope future saves some success for him, he deserves it all the way!
Bwipo, you’re a true legend. I believed from the start that you were the engine that drove this team. It’s your passion and love for the game.
I still believe that and hope to see it continue in the future.
All the love and support in the world
-Some random fan.
Bwipo is a strong headed and opinionated individual but this man is fueled by pure passion and love for the game and the desire to be the best and you cant help love and respect the guy, truly a one of a kind esports player and we need more like him in the scene
Year isn't over Bwip, this is the passion that makes it all possible
love this guy❤️
Much respect to bwipo he really care about his performance and wanted to do better and win so much, this mindset will keep him a pro for a longer time
Easy to flame player to always be bad but they put their whole life into this even if they are not the best in the world don’t go out and flame them show some
Support , keep it up bwipo you are the goat
Only love for my man Bwipo❤
Huge respect to Ashley how empathic she is
This is so conforting to anyone who tries hard for something to know that even the best can't always achieve it with hard work and to know it is ok to feel bad about it. Hopefully Bwipo will recover quickly from those games. At least, after the BLG vs PSG, we know this team was no real underdog
Just Love for Bwipo
I like the way he talkes. This game means a lot to this man and he deserves respect to open his heart. I would bet everyone could fell the emotion.
Bwipo is a unique soul in eSports, he is not afraid to speak and show how hard he tried to win this tournament.
When you give all you have and do all the best you could do, you will never have something to regret. You did your best and with a different constelation you would win maybe.
There is nothing you should regret if you tried your best every day and give your heart and soul.
Bwipo, you are the kind of a guy all should respect and learn from.
Heads up buddy, after each fall you come back stronger and I can imagine your experince and mindset is the way to go for a lot of rookies.
Its ok
Psg almost beat blg. U didnt lose to bad team.
The disrespect towards PSG to think they'd be easily defeated by NA's 2nd seed is crazy.

Dang Ashley. Great navigation of the interview!
nothing but respect brother, i dont care how flyquest performed there's noting stronger than having a true passion towards something in life. cant ever beat yourself up from trying your hardest, but it is healthy to let these emotions out. your career will only look up from here. as a player, coach or whatever you want it to be, pressure makes diamonds.
This is heart breaking.
as a TL fan, I loved Bwipo. He always tries his best, and I felt sad that he did not achieve more when he was on TL or now that he is in FLY. I hope that NA as a region improves, and the teams can show up internationally again.
I had higher hopes for FLY, but hopefully they can end up being inspired (no pun intended) after seeing the fight PSG put up against them, BLG, and whoever in the lower bracket despite being a minor region with many disadvantages. It's all about learning and growing and being courages despite the odds
I cried
Thanks for the nice interview
i acknowledge this man
he'd done his bestand
and when everything is said and done, its not enough
big heart to you bwipo
Big love for the big man in the toplane
Sad for my goat
Bwipo, straight up, deserved more. I sincerely hope they find success next split and make it further.
Bwipo is a treasure. A real competitor. Uplifts his teammates. Holds himself to a high standard. He's been to the top before and can surely do it again.
IT hurts to watch 😢
blg v psg showed that it was less Fly disappointing but more PSG was generally underestimated
Bwipo. You r the goat. You’ve brought so much to lol esports already. Thx a lot.
Mam you rrally tried your hardest brp please dont feel shamed ypu have lost the game but won our hearts
Man take of yourself Bwipo, don't let your dreams ruin the things in your life that are temporary. Enjoy a piece of everything. It's okay to give it your all to your dreams, but having those around us who can help us reach that end goal and can help us manage life just a tiny bit better really matters at the end of the day. Stay strong, I know you'll come back stronger than ever.
It’s always hard. The challenge of competition. I would only say take it “one day at a time” Don’t give up. It’s not an easy game, especially since it’s a team game. I’ve played LoL and Apex at a high level for many years. it’s hard to always win in any team based setting). It will be tough, but if you continue to love the game and believe, regardless of results, feel the determination, any game, any decision is a challenge and risk. Every second everything changes, NA will win one day. That’s my hope. And when … that day happens. It’s gonna be glorious!
Sending you a hug and support from korea ❤ you're amazing player Bwipo
what a performance
That outro music did not read the room lol
As someone who play moba type of games everyday. I really understand what he mean that he thought he tried his best but yet still doing the same mistakes
this might be one of the greatest personalities in sports entertainment history just wow
That’s what I thought, I knew that defeat to T1 would keep them from regaining confidence, but I had hoped I was wrong and that they would reset their mental instead.
I believe in everything Bwipo said about building a team and building a region, intelligent mature mind. This is a player I can get behind and support.
FLY has so much potential. If they don't get shaken after this, I think they really can do great things. They just need more time to play together as a team and figure out their team identity.
Zero potential with Busio on the team. Guy is awful.

BWIPO ❤❤❤
Feels bad man
I’m glad to see that even though Bwipo can never be a straight arrow, he is finally “going” honest.
Fly was expected to lose to t1. Unfortunately it looks like t1 took there soul with that 17 minute win. Bwipo is probably think of the lead he had in game one and how a lv 3 or lv 4 trade costed him the game. Maybe if they the extra two hours to practice the match up he doesn't make that mistake.
It's really crazy how a tiny, tiny mistake in League can cost an entire match.
I'm not even close to pro (I'm low Master) but I rewatch my replays and I sometimes find that if I just panned the camera slightly once (instead of assuming what's happening) I would've made a completely different decision and that alone would've 95% won us the game.
And these guys need to do it in front of the whole world watching, the crowd cheering, the lights glaring and expectations mounting.
My closest thing to what these guys are doing was playing in piano concerts as a kid and teen and even after 15 years of playing, getting on that stage and performing (literally) was always so tough and required so much mental fortitude and preparation. A single extra day of practice could mean not missing that one note or playing it more softly which would result in not having a snowball effect of mistakes which "loses" the performance.
In my case I didn't have any stakes - I was not a professional. But it felt like almost everything to me.
That interview felt so close to home and gave me a rare instance of empathy where I could feel what Bwipo feels.
League of Legends is an extremely complicated game where the tiniest of details matters. A single missed CS can mean staying in the fountain 20 minutes later for an extra half second which makes you late for a play, for example. The more players respect how difficult it is, the more, I reckon, they can enjoy it too. Knowing how much you can improve and how deep knowledge, strategy and psychology goes into every match from every player is incredible. It makes losing easier to deal with and seeing those pros all the more impressive.
Really wish Bwipo and FlyQuest all the best and to come back strong. Huge respect~!
love you bwipo

Man I said a lot of s*** about inspired when they lost. Seeing this i hope all of them feel like this. Bwipo is a gem among NA ❤✌
It's fine, Bwipo. Sometimes we tried our hardest but still finished last.
As a fnatic fan, I wasn't a big Bwipo fan (as a player, as a person he seemed fine). In interviews after big games (LEC finals and Worlds) I felt like he always had this carefree, almost irresponsible attitude of "oh if I/we had done this, if I/we had done that, we could have won". But he'd repeat the same mistakes again and again, which annoyed me. Having said that, this is the first time where that attitude is gone, I do not see even a hint of it. This is pure raw emotion and he even says he gave it his all and he doesn't know what more he could have done. I think he's matured and grown up as a person and huge props to him. He has earned my respects and I hope to see more of him on the international stage.
