  • DIY Rhino Rack Install. How to install Rhino Rack Vortex Bars on a MR Triton
    I installed some Rhino Rack Vortex bars onto my 2020 Mitshubishi Triton MR GLS and I made a video incase it helps some one out trying to do the same thing.
    It’s an easy DIY job that will save you a couple of hours of labour charge from a workshop and it should only take the average person about 2 hours to do.
    No drilling required into the roof, just into the rubber strip covering the roof ditch.

    Thank you so much for your help mate. I just fitted some Pro Rack's to my 2018 Triton and this video was a massive help. Especially with drilling the rubber strip. Absolute Legend.

    Measure twice, cut once. Or in my case - measure 16 times, go to cut but stop and measure again first 🤣

    Doing this job tomorrow so this was gold mate! The guy at the shop explained to me about the little bit of metal strip on the underside and to cut it away and the hole a little bit offset to middle, but I didn't really get what he meant at the time, I do now! Cheers mate, and will check out some of your other content soon too.

    I always use lock tight on all external assemblies. Especially the bolts holding roof racks. Hot Tip.

    Hi,
    Had my rack fitted but i needed to tighten the footpacks as they seemed loose - still not sure if they tighten enough. On the instructions it mentions to tighten to 3-4 NM, how does on tell?
    do you tighten the bolt pretty tight or until the rack is tight - any help i would appreciate

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  Před 2 lety

      Hi mate. You can get a torque wrench to get just right. I didn’t have one so I just made it fairly tight without going as tight as I could. Just re tightened after a couple of days of driving and it’s been good. Hope this helps.
