    What Sherwin descibed is Pär Gerell's service (usually with a high toss). Now I understand why it is one of the most difficult among pro-players

      Gerell's service is a little bit different, though. I learn the hook serve from Par Gerell's masterclass.

      @@cafephin2024 short answer: yes. I knew hook serve before taking Gerell's masterclass but my serve wasn't really deceptive. His masterclass really brings my serve to a whole new level. My opponents often call me "nasty server" since I got the hook serve under my belt 🏓🏓🏓It's extremely effective.

    Hi Sherwin, great video. I have lots of serves similar to this one but for some reason having been using them for a while I still can't use subtle deception without exaggerating my movement. Any advice on how I can improve this

    Fair response... I should have clarified that I have seen him do it live in events standing directly behind his opponent and ball was not hidden. I dont know him personally so I believe I was objective.

    Can you pls make the video about the following: they teach us underspin pendulum serve by having racket flat BUT when you see Chinese players UNDERSPIN serve replay- they racket is pointed DOWN on contact. Can you explain that please!

      You should loop chops with your forehand.All professional players use the forehand against choppers.Only Schlager and Kreanga looped against choppers with the backhand.

    Wouldn't a long serve with a high arch like this get an open attack by the good opponent straight away? 😛

      I think that's legal, even when you put black and red, your opponent don't have idea what kind of rubber that u used right? As long as u not put pimples rubber on it. For sure u can see at www.ittf.com/handbook/
