Hello po! Gusto ko po mag take ng 2nd degree through UPOU. But I fear that system assumes na 1st degree ko yan (Meaning, baka ma-encode yung mga minor subjects na I already took.) Baka kasi magkaroon ng problems sa registrar.

1. How much will it cost me to take a master's program at UPOU? Plano ko sana mag take ng Master of Arts in Language and Literacy Education. Any idea po or is it okay to share your estimated tuition fee(s)?
2. Also yung master's po ba sa UPOU will only take 2 years or is it less or more than 2 years?
3. Required po ba na may experience ka sa field na gusto mong kunin? For example, sa Ateneo po kasi need at least ng 2 years of experience sa field ng broadcasting para makakuha ka ng master's program related to broadcomm. Is the same po here sa UPOU?
4. F2F po ba or pure online talaga sa UPOU regardless kung anong program yung kukunin?

Hi Ma'am, I saw your YT video about UPOU, may tanong lang po ako. I was able to accomplish the online application, submitted the soft copies and paid the non-refundable 500 pesos last May 6, 2023 (mismong deadline) and today ko lang po narecieve yung hard copies ko po ng scholastic records from my province, pwede pa po kaya ako mag mail sa kanila ng hard copies even though past deadline na po?

Nag email na ba sila sayo ng go signal na ipadala na ang hard copy?
Kasi in my case po, after deadline din ako nag send ng hard copy. Kasi yung deadline na naka indicate, that’s for all requirements online. If nag instruct na po sila na ipadala na, saka nyo pa po isend ang hard copy. Kasi they need to check all your soft copies kahit past deadline na.
Once okay na lahat…yung FOR REVIEW na status, dapat machange sya na approved na. meaning okay na lahat ng documents po and mag email sila ng instructions na isend na ang hard copy for formality :)

Balak ko po Sana mag enroll sa PUPOU.. Regarding po sa requirements nila na form 137 wala na po kasi akong copy ng Form 137 ko nag try po ako mag request sa dati ko pong school para kumuha ng form 137 pero need daw po nila ng request letter na galing sa school na pag aaralan ko bago daw po ako bigyan ulit ng copy.. nag bibigay po ba kaya si PUPOU ng request letter para po maka kuha ako ng form 137 sa dati ko pong school?

Hello po mam. wala pong Bachelor of IT sa UPOU. meron lang po Associate of Science in Information Technology. yan po ang pwede nyo makuha kung gusto nyo po IT talaga. Or Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies kung gusto nyo po talaga na bachelor's degree.
check nyo po yung subjects offered dun sa course na gusto nyo itake kung same po ang subjects. kung hindi po, probably di sya macredit. Unless, iask nyo po mismo sa Program Chair to assess your subjects. sila lang po kasi ang pwede maka decide nun.

Hello po. Nasa website po nila available yung certificate programs or short programs. They will give instruction on how to get your certificates after you finish the programs :)

Regarding po sa recommendation letter, if iuupload po sya sa online application site, it means allowed po na makita ko ang content ng letter? :) and pwede po kaya electronic signature lang ng recommender para pdf copy na lang isesend sakin and ako na ang magpprint? For long distance scenario po. :)

PDF copy lng din sinend ko sa recommender dahil sa distance. Tapos print mo lang sya if need na ng hardcopy after online application. 😊

Hello po. Pag graduate po ng ano? Undergrad po or graduate studies? Or 2nd masters? Kasi pwede naman po another masters. Ang alam ko po, iba talaga yung setup nila at curriculum. So most probably, itetake po sya lahat.
But regarding this matter po, you can consult your program coordinator para po maevaluate yung credentials nyo. At maka suggest sila ng kung ano ang dapat nyo itake for that semster. 😊

Hello po. For 2nd trisem, until September 23 pa po ang application for undergraduate. pwede pa po humabol. But you need to inquire po if pwede ka magstart ng 2nd trisem kasi baka pre-requisite po ang subjects.

Hello! Original TOR po ba ang need na imail sa UPOU or photocopy lang? And yun recommendation letter ko po kasi ay hindi handwritten, thru email ko lang kasi kami nun recommender kasi nasa ibang bansa na sya, valid kaya na isubmit yun? And pano po pag may exam like midterm, finals, pupunta po ba sa UPLB for f2f?

For TOR, soft copy lang po ang sa online application. Pero pinadala ko din po ang original copy via courier kasi for enrollment na po yun.
For recommendation letter, okay lang po kasi ganun din po ginawa ko. Sinend ko lang din po online sa recommenders ko :)
For exams, it's all purely online po. never pa po ako nakapunta sa UPOU campus since I started :)
Hello po! I'm a student from UPM na interested to cross-reg a GE course in UPOU. Nagaaccept po ba ang UPOU ng cross registrants every semester/trimester?
ohhh, with that you need to consult po mismo sa email ng UPOU. kung match ba yung subjects/description ng kukunin mong GE subject.
as far as i know, pwede naman kasi same naman ng system. pero dpnde po kasi kung undegrad, 2 lang kasi ang courses ng bachelor. so, kung available po yung gusto mo na subject dun

Hi. Sorry now lang namin nakita itong post nyo. My friend plans to enroll in the diploma in comoputer science which is a 2 yr course kasi 4 sem raw and esch sem has 6 months. Sa 1 sem kung kukunin all units possible po bang matapos in 2 yrs talaga?
Hello po. sa diploma in computer science, 2years po talaga ang nakalagay.
May specific subjects and units din po nakalagay sa site nila. Saktong 2yrs po sya with 27 units. tig 6 units or 2 subjects per semester po sya kaya ganun po ang timeline :)

Hello ma'am may i know kung true copy ng TOR ang hinihingi kapag need ng i-send sa kanila ang hard copies ng requirements im currently abroad po kase. Im a bit confused kase sa requirements if ever kung pwede xerox lahat.
ang naalala ko po is scanned copy dunsa online system. tapos yung original copies po ang isesend as hard copies.
yung iba po ata na nasa abroad, sinesend pa rin nila ang original copies kasi magiging files po sya ng school :) yung sa akin, may kulang pa ako, di aabot sa deadline yung hardcopy. pero okay lang daw as long as nasa deadline yung online system. nag ask lang po ako na ipahabol yung hardcopies.

I don’t really RECOMMEND enrolling dun sa CLSU DISTANCE kineme na yun. I have a friend who applied there 3 years ago and after she submitted everything and they acknowledged they received it. She DID NOT receive any update re; her application until the start of classes began no Update. They did not even bother informing her if she was accepted or not to the program. It seems that they are bias on accepting students even in their graduate programs. My friend said they kept asking her questions about her program of choice in separate emails even though the information was all attached in her sent email like seriously? Before you do that they should evaluate her credentials and documents first, they could also have reached her through her contact number but they didn’t. My friend said when she was inquiring through a phone call, the person who answered seemed very unimpressed. She said “something was off from the moment I reached through them. I even texted them many times but - they only reply short to none at all. I don’t recommend enrolling there, enroll in UPOU instead and DO NOT waste your time” !!!

And yes, try UPOU instead. They are really legit and professional. It's the same as the regular classes but with a different method of classes (for distance learning).

hello. hindi po. mainly asynchronous po sya. meaning. hindi po sya yung same sa seminar na naka zoom. meorn pong site for this. then magpopost lang po ang professors ng assignments and readings. then iuupload nyo lang po yung essays nyo and other assignments na hinihingi.
pero the professors and your classmates can read your assignments (most of the time). and macocomment din po sila sa sagot mo.

may iba lang po na teacher na may zoom class. pero di naman po mostly required. so far sa 2 semesters namin sa masters, purely asynchronous naman po. wala kaming videocall.
@@voldemortpotter4365 for anong program po pala? sa Bachelor po ata may videocall sila. di ko lang po sure. dpnde sya sa professor. dahil yung setup naman po talaga ay distance learning. mostly modular. so own time nyo po sya gagawin with the given deadlines per week :)

hello. iba po kasi ang tatransferan mo na subject kahit natapos nyo na po ang 1st year psych. di po sila kalinya. most probably, iba po ang subjects at di makecredit. better po na mag inquire kayo mismo sa UPOU para mas maexplain po sa inyo :)

a current or former student of another UP unit or school/university;
a graduate of a 2-year diploma, certificate, associate, or technical and vocational (tech voc) program; or a

provided that he or she:
has satisfied the transfer admission requirements:
If coming from a UP unit: completed at least 33 units of college and a GWA of 2.5 or better.
If coming from a non-UP unit: completed at least 33 units of college and a GWA of 2.0 or better.
has submitted the complete documentary requirements for admission before the application deadline.
has completed the UPOU Distance Education (DE) Readiness Module. Link to the DERM will be emailed by admissions.

1. PE, NSTP, theology, and technical courses from a 2-year or tech voc program are excluded in the computation of units and GWA.

pero maganda po ito for OFWs ang UP open university kasi purely online lang po. yung bachelor courses lang po ng online sa UPOU ay ito po:

Good day, Ma'am. May I ask if ilang months usually mag e-email ang UPOU if accepted sa choosen program? Aspiring transferee po kasi outside the UP System with completely different program. Tanong ko na rin po, I paid 350 for the application fee. Kasama pa rin po kaya ako if ever sa free tuition? Thank you for the informative video.

Hello po! They accept students na naka start na po ng college sa other universities. But for your curriculum and accreditation of subjects. You may contact them thru email po para ma-assess nila yung subjects mo. :)

Hello! I totally recommend UPOU po even sa undergrad. However, depende pa rin po sa preference nyo. kasi totally iba yung setup kesa sa face-to-face. But for sure, systematic naman sya. very organized. need nyo lang po ng time management and discipline since nasa own place ka lang and own time. :)

yes po! maganda ito na setup para sa mga working. meron nga po from abroad like mga OFWs.
wala pong schedule meetup most of the time. modular po ang setup nya. so magbibigay po ng assignments/tasks per week na need nyo ipasa. ikaw na po bahala what time at anong araw nyo gawin. basta pasok po sa deadline :)

I think pwede din na 3units muna pero kasi hindi every sem offered yung subjects. so mahihirapan ka po mag antay ng next semester para sa subjects. so better na sundin nyo yung per sem na subjects :)

hindi po ito yung UP campus na nasa Mintal ha. ibang UP system po ito. sa Los Baños laguna po talaga itong UPOU. kaya po sya tinawag na UPOU kasi UP Open University sya. bale online lang po sya purely. so kahit nasaan po kayo, pwede nyo po gawin yung mga assignments.

Hello po. Di ko na po maalala ang exact days nung approval sa OAS. Pero kapag may kulang, nagseaend naman po sila ng email na may kulang or invalid ang requirements. Once completed, magnonotify din po sila agad within the day or the next day na okay na lahat.
Then once appoved/completed, isend nyo na po yung hardcopies to UPOU (thru LBC yung sa akin).

I uploaded nung April 25, 2022 yung requirements ko po and until now "For Review" status pa rin sa OAS. And naka-indicate sa academic calendar nila for the next s.y na deadline ng submission ng application requirements is on May 21, 2022. Kaya kinakabahan ako baka di makahabol sa registration for the 1st semester. Anyway, thank you so much, ma'am.

Hello po enrolled po ako ngayon sa UP Tacloban City for Master for Management (PM) First Year, Tanong ko po is pwedi po ba pag second year ko sa UPOU na po ako mag patuloy o magpa enroll? kasi sa UPOU naman talaga an plan ko mag enroll ng first year kaso, na late po ako ng enrollment.
