      I think every small wrestler and MMA fighter will kill him easily :D He thinked himself as a God, but fortunately, he gets what he deserves right now :D Many losses -some of them with a knockout. :D Mike Tyson, unlike Hari , was amazing fighter with great style and technique, and his power was natural. Short, but with real biomechanics! I learned so much from Mike Tyson. Hari is almost 2 meters tall ,yes, good kickboxer and muay thai fighter, but nothing more. I learned nothing from Hari. Just pure agression and this ugly, disrespectful behavior. I'm pretty sure that many humbled BJJ guys will kill him with ease. So,Hari,be respectful and nice person, it's a way better example for all combat sports fans :) Anyway, great channel, funny and informative at the same time! Saenchai and Buakaw, in my opinion,especially Saenchai,are may be the best Muay Thai fighters i have ever watched!

      Its bad for the sport just as its bad for the people he represents because he cannot keep it in the ring and its spreading to his followers...
      Example, Glory needs to go as far to ban Arkadiusz Wrzosek because "badjas harrie" fans coudnt get it together and are so spoiled that when they demand "BADR WINS!" it actually needs to happen, regardless of what happened in the ring. Same for Rico vs Badr. Both fights, both camps claim they "won", they coudnt just ban Rico like Arkadiusz Wrzosek tho...
      3th and maybe biggest. What langues does his corner speak? What does he speak? Where does he come from?! The guy has a bigger accent than me xD
      The guy is a marketing/propaganda tool who once was a great fighter. Not to mention badr/steroids are linked on so many occasians...
      Really weird choice for a video. And yes, you cannot keep what happens outside the ring outside. Idiot shoudnt be in it in the first place after everything that happened...

      Man, Lawrence, I love your videos but the framing of this one is a bit off for me personally. I feel as though he should not be seen as somebody that "stands up against injustices". To be frank, we all now he only does so when the injustice affects him. I respect Hari´s contributions to the sport but as a person, I think he is just horrible and should just be seen as such. I also have anger management issues, though I never became violent or something. But I felt bad nonetheless and decided to find ways to cope with these feelings. Maybe one can give a good reason for why Hari might be so agressive, but honestly, at some point you need to take up some counceling or maybe even medication. I hate Hari as a person probably because I am afraid that I might lose my temper like he does. But I consider myself lucky to have found a way to deal with it and not harm anybody. Just my opinion but I respect the fact that you like him. Keep up the good work and please dont take my words as personal condemnation.

    The GOAT, sure Remy, Schilt, Hoost, Aerts and many more have meant so much to the sport. But it was Badr who took the sport to a broader audience, even the ones who only watched to see him lose.
    Best analogy is he’s the Jon Jones of kickboxing. Pure talent, power, technique and heart but not the perfect role model. But who cares, this is the fighting game. If you’re looking for outside role models, search elsewhere.
    TBH, most Dutch laymen had no idea who Rico was prior to their first match.
    My knock on Badr is he’s a bit to reckless in his fights. Which makes his fights really entertaining but exposes him too much. Plus of course his relative weak chin, this is not something new.

    Damn. A vídeo on Melvin Manhoef and now one on Badr Hari! Loving it. And… I can give you some more insight on what Badr is like with those that are close to him, and a story lol. Badr is incredibly loyal to those that are close to him. He always treated me with kindness and respect. In fact, while I spent time at Mikes Gym in Holland, Badr trusted me enough to actually try some grappling. But only with me. He knew that he could work hard, but not have me grab a submission and injure him in any way. Mike Passenier felt it might even help him a little with getting on the inside and being able to manipulate and move guys around. So it was fun to see Badr excited to come to the gym and want to jump in and grapple with me :)
    And, I travelled with him to Japan when I was cornering Melvin. He was supposed to fly out to Korea after from there. He was going to fight Hong Man Choi. While at the Dream event, he actually got in the ring in and challenged anyone from the promotion to fight in K1, “Real fights, stand up fighting! “ he said. I later asked him why he did it and he told me that he was going to be “compensated well” for pulling such a stunt lol. It was pretty cool travelling around Tokyo with him. He was swarmed by fans all the time. I also have some interesting sparring session stories about Badr….

    • @ShootoFighter79
      @ShootoFighter79 Před rokem

      Another quick story about Badr was when he was an up in comer in K1, on the bus to one of the events, Badr was trash talking all the legends about how he was going to smash all of them! Aerts, Hoost etc were all quite annoyed but this young newcomer being so disrespectful. But that was Badr. He was trying to get any advantage he could get. Lol

    • @ShootoFighter79
      @ShootoFighter79 Před rokem

      So Badr at some point, didn’t really have very many sparring partners. Most wouldn’t last very long before being KOed 😮 I remember one time in particular where there was a giant Swiss kick-boxer, taller and bigger then Badr. He was courageous enough to get in there and spar with him. Badr at the time was working on a specific tactic that he wanted to use in his fight. He would corner this Swiss fighter and as he was shelling up, Badr would brutally knee the inside and outside of his thighs. It looked and sounded painful. After the round was finished, the Swiss fighter asked him to please stop doing that. So Badr said. No problem… Only problem is, now he forced Badr to actually spar how Badr normally spars. Second round starts and one over-hand right dropped the Swiss fighter. Poor guy eventually got up and started to complain that he heard a bell and why did Badr hit him after the bell. Badr even comically started looking around the gym asking people if they could find this “bell” that apparently went off 😆
      To finish, I’ll say this. Badr definitely had a temper. However, like I said earlier, Badr loved his family (whom I met. Wonderful people) and he loved Mike Passenier. Him and Mike had a special bond. It was always nice to see such a beautiful dynamic between Mike and Badr. I don’t believe anyone else can do the job as well as Mike. Edit: I’m aware that Badr has changed trainers. Don’t know if Mike and Badr had a falling out or Badr just thought he needed a change. I’m just commenting on the time I spent while I was around them. Cheers

    Ok Ruslin, I dunno. I am conflicted to either hate him or like him. In their first match Ruslin did do a dirty soccer kick. And he was all happy go-lucky with his very questionable win. But on their second match, I guess he learned from his mistake and controlled himself from doing it again. He's like a misunderstood antagonist

    It’s hard to beat someone that is that adrenalized. You hear these stories of guys on certain drugs like PCP or meth that cops can’t subdue? Well a hyper-adrenalized state through anger is very similar in terms of neurochemical hormones (adrenaline, epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, etc). It transiently increases your strength and pain tolerance and other metrics of performance valuable in fighting.

    Great talent, lacked hard work to reach his full potential. Also he lacks the ability to see things realistically. Right now he is destroying his own legacy by letting himself get led by his ego/not knowing when to stop fighting. Because of that he lost to unknown/upcoming fighters back to back in his last 6 fights since his "comeback". Which is a shame

    Badr is a very dangerous man, sadly not just in the ring.
    I think Badr has caused many injustices having assaulted multiple people outside of the ring, the idea that hes unwilling to accept injustice is a flawed take.
