Hiking FUERTEVENTURA in a STRAIGHT LINE over volcanoes and sand dunes

- When I arrived in Fuerteventura I realised how different the landscape is compared to other places I've seen. No trees, rocks and stones everywhere and a lot of volcanoes.
I wanted to explore this desolate but beautiful landscape, see the sand dunes of Corralejo, Calderon Hondo and Bayuyo volcanos. All these places were close so I decided to see them in a different way.
Some time ago I stumbled across a video from a German youtuber called Fritz Meinecke where he walked in a straight line in Germany, so I thought this would be a great challenge to do here, in the north of Fuerteventura.
So, I started planning my route, but instead of walking in a straight line as Fritz did, I would do a rectangle. This would allow me to hike on volcanos, say hello to the many goats of Fuerteventura, conquer the sand dunes of Corralejo, climb Calderon Hondo volcano and end up in the same place I started, Villaverde, a small village close to Corralejo.
My first obstacle was a 400m volcano, which was more difficult to climb than I expected due to the small slippery stones. I managed to make a bit of speed after, but not a lot. Since my route was not an official route, there were stones everywhere which made the walk, even on flat landscape, difficult.
Eventually I had to make camp and I found the perfect place, on the side of Montaña Roja, a volcano close to the Dunes of Corralejo. It was an amazing place to camp. The sky was full of stars, but the wind really strong. But I was in great luck, my Carinthia micro tent plus protected me from the crazy wind and managed to have one of the best nights sleeping outside so far.
The beginning of the next day would be quite challenging, from packing my camp where I had to run for my pillow 2 times because the wind stole it, to going down from Montaña Roja which was full of ridges, slippery stones and difficult climbs. The sand dunes were not easy to conquer either, but managed in the end to come close to Calderon Hondo.
It seems I underestimated a lot the difficulty of this trail, so if you're curious to see if I managed to finish it, keep watching.
