      Yeah because Steve invented the internal combustion engine... So that makes him an expert at everything. A smart person is ALWAYS open to new ideas regardless of where they come from (do you honestly think half of the engineering in this engine is his???). I spotted one thing that could be improved in the video, did you see it? or were you too caught up seeing the sun shine out of his bum.

    As a vintage watch restorer, I appreciate your attention to details and surface quality finishes. Your CNC blocks remind me of old Geneva pocket watch 'Perlage'. It was a aesthetic finish applied to watch components to add depth and brilliance; but VERY hard to accomplish.

    • @DodgyBrothersEngineering
      @DodgyBrothersEngineering Před 2 lety +3

      @@danmyers9372 that is a very interesting point. While there was little externally to be seen, some of the fanboys on this channel are driven by looks and wow it cost how much, because they have absolutely no idea about engineering. And while the roughness on the inside would make almost zero difference to performance, to them they would equate the rough finish to somehow being an inferior product. Since Steve has basically made himself a CZcams product, he needs to do things most of us might not even bother doing (I would I have OCD and it would drive me nuts) but it was completely unnecessary to make it run again.

      It was already. I was looking at that in the video and probably half the reason he indexes the sleeves. To be honest I am a little surprised that it wasn't hand finished because it has a sharp lip on it, but I guess on alcohol it may not be as detrimental as it might be on other fuels. Not sure if the valves are cantered and he might have been able to taper it a bit. The push rods are on an angle not sure if the valves are.
