    Guys, they arent playing on arena or with a judge. They are also using 400 unique cards in a casual format that requires you to keep track of what 3 other players are doing. You dont need to critique the cast for not doing the “optimal” thing or getting some rules wrong. Just enjoy the fun they are having. Its not a tournament. Sit back, relax, crack open a mountain dew, and enjoy the show.

    • @OromisGlaedr
      @OromisGlaedr Před rokem +24

      I'd think that with their whole channel being about MTG and Commander, critiquing them when they get rules wrong is acceptable. Not everybody plays optimally, and that's fine, but calling out rules violations helps the people watching if nothing else.

    • @lukebloom7848
      @lukebloom7848 Před rokem +14

      @@OromisGlaedr their whole channel is about entertainment, and obviously they should strive to get the rules right but the game already happened, you aren’t changing anything by giving them flak in the comment section. And I want to specify I don’t think pointing out rules mistakes is inherently a bad thing but I often see people getting actually upset at the cast for making mistakes and playing sub optimal

    • @OromisGlaedr
      @OromisGlaedr Před rokem +11

      @@lukebloom7848 Oh, yeah. I never get upset for people just having fun. I think the only time I've gotten even close to annoyed was on a prior video when they completely butchered a card effect after taking care to read it out loud slowly.
      They do actually read the comments, and have made mention of it in other videos. I agree giving them flak doesn't do much, but pointing out a misplay would also potentially help them from making the same one again.

    • @Kestral287
      @Kestral287 Před rokem +7

      I do think there's some merit in calling out notable rules interactions that get missed, especially ones that might come up more than once. The goal of such comments can be to educate to make sure those sort of errors don't happen again, which does improve the channel's quality. I recall there were questions in an earlier video about if stolen commanders could deal commander damage, for example, and that is a very widely applicable rule so explaining that is a useful thing - and now they do it correctly!
      That said, it is extremely funny seeing how many people don't bother to read cards before assuming they know how they work and commenting with an error that is entirely correct, and the "accidentally regrowthed a Farseek" thing is so minor that calling it out is ridiculous.

    • @lukebloom7848
      @lukebloom7848 Před rokem +4

      @@Kestral287 i have addressed a similar response earlier, but to re-iterate i dont think calling out mistakes are inherently a bad thing, but people who get legitimately upset at the cast for mistakes and/or unoptimized play are cringe.

So he could've kept 50ish cards in his deck but just said he drew his deck to save time. He could've rewinded instead bur again, that wastes time.

    Ben definitely won this, really sad how this was set up so CGB could win,
    Ben could’ve easily taken him out with that staff of compleation that he searched for since CGB was most definitely the biggest threat
    Surely Ben is a smarter player than that

    Bad episode - clearly staged in the end and fake. Why wouldn’t Ben kill CGB when he had 9 poison counters instead of attacking Blake to take him to 8 counters. Obviously CGB said - we need content so let me get to my turn so I can play atraxa. Bad bad bad game.
