hey how did it go?
I didn't get a perfect 800 in Maths but I scored 790. Unexpected mistakes happen. But, maths is all about knowing the basic stuffs. Before starting to solve the problems, I suggest you to know all the theory, because if you know the base stuffs, it will be easier for you to do all the problems related to those chapters.
When I started, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the basic stuff and just practiced the questions. In time, I found out that I was making mistakes in same type of problems. I was either unsure about the answer choice or I didn't know the answers at all. So, I started learning from the base and learned how those questions worked and how to find the right answers.

This proves that the content on this test is useless...we are being taught tricks on how to take the test rather than valuable information
if you need tricks your gonna do bad anyway this just saves time for people who get confused

Josephine Rose check out khan academy -- tons of free math practice that adjusts to your level-- all have explanations. Go over as much as you can and work your way through the material.

I love it when you do some math problems examples.
Sophomore. I’ve been taking practice tests on Kahn Academy and I got 700 reading and writing but 550 on math. I was only able to complete like half of the questions in the no calculator section before running out of time and guessing for the remaining half. With the calculator-permitted section, I ran out of time for the remaining 10 questions. I just can’t seem to work efficiently.
I'm taking the SAT on August 26th. It feels comforting watching these kinds of videos

This is really helpful especially because I'm so used to working out every answer completely and that wastes a lot of time
On that first factoring question, what I do is; the answer that has the most in common, like the ending in 'C' was the same in some of the other answers but the beginning of it was the same with only one other answer...So I got C quickly...I'm glad it was actually correct

I'm retaking it on Saturday and I took it for the first time in March. I made 1080, which isn't too bad, but I think I can do at least a 1100 and your tips have been super helpful!

On the one at 7:33, I would just eliminate the first two answer choices because the question does not show linear stuff and the answer choices do. And C is really really huge, so it wouldn't work. I really like how you talked about all of the questions. :D

@@sayebkhan8098 if your gonna take the SAT. DO NOT TAKE PRACTICE TESTS EVERY WEEK. its burns you out very fast. Id say take 2 or 3. One to gage where you are, one to see your progress and one to give you an idea of what you'll score on the actual test. I ended up take 7 tests and it was terrible. It got to me especially because it was over 3 hours long

Math Hack for questions with variables as shown in the video: Always write down the units and try matching the units on the LHS and RHS. You don't even have to calculate the answer, arrange the units and the answer arrives itself.
My test is in 2 days and my anxiety is off the roof 😭😭😭

Fun Fact, if the question gives you 3 pieces of information set it up as a Ratio. Let's use your car example. We are given 3 numbers out the back (use measurements always) 50MPH, 21 gallons a tank, and 17 gallons initially. so set it up as a ratio and you get 50x/21 you can then turn it into an equation by adding the third number, f(x)=50x/21-17 ... you don't even have to read the whole question and it took you less than a minute to do! steps are 1. determine terms 2. turn into a ratio 3. turn into an equation.
