- Happy Monday! Today we have the Benchmade Mini Osborne. Is it kind of small or is it a great choice for an everyday carry knife? Lets check it out!

Man… the clarity of that camera! 👍🏼👍🏼
Crazy part is it's just my phone haha. Thank you for watching!
Love the everyday cutting examples ! Thanks
My 945 hardly gets any pocket time because it's just a little too small for my tastes. The knife, itself, is perfectly fine. In fact, it gets a ton of use as a fidget flipper at my desk during the day. The issue is that the handle needs to be about 1/4" longer and maybe 1/8" taller, and I have pretty small hands.
Great insight! Thank you for watching!
Great Video and the 940 is such a good EDC knife a mini 940 is just that much nicer...I have an ancient 940 and it’s still one of my favorite knives. Stay safe my Friend Semper Fidelis
Thank you and you as well!
The 945 is my favorite knife. The 940 is too long to fit in my coin pocket while this one's can! The size is perfect ☺️ I'm so glad Benchmade gave us a choice of sizing in the Osbourne series. It's an amazing series after all!
Just bought one. Classic green aluminum sclaes. Perfect EDC knife
Jimislash brought me here,I love the look of the mini Osborne, the black and blue looks really good together but I prefer the size of the full-size 940 personally...with that being said,I recently picked up the Mini Adamas and it’s amazing
Completely agree on both points! Thank for watching!
Tactical Everyday Dad no problem,I enjoy your reviews..they are much more in depth and detailed than a lot of the CZcams knife reviews..keep up the great work
@@garrettferrell6821 Thank you I appreciate it!
I found on sale for $169 with tax ... solid mini pocket knife 945bk1
LOVE your review! I'm in the market for a new smaller EDC (upgrading from my lost Kershaw Scallion) and narrowing down my options which includes the Mini Osborne. Your's is the only review that illustrated actually carrying the knife as well as practical cutting applications. Very helpful! Do you have any new thoughts on this knife now that it's been a year since your review? I'll check your other reviews, but is there a "smallish" EDC you recommend over this one? Thanks
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the mini.
Thank you for watching!
The toys for scale so funny 😆

Good amount of testing done on this knife. When referring to the performance of other knives, which ones came to mind? I just picked this 945bk-1 up for $119, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have as the value doesn’t match the price for me. Also, were all these tests performed out of the box? If so, that’s a fair comparison, but the blade profile and thinness of the blade could really benefit from a good sharpening at 18-20 degrees before putting it through those tests. Guaranteed to perform better, especially through that leather belt test. Again, nice review. I’m a dad and I’m now a subscriber to your channel.
Thank you for subscribing! Good pick up for $119! All the knives on the channel are reviewed straight out of the box; factory edges. None are sharpened before testing. A vast majority of knife owners, do not know how to sharpen their own knives. Thus would not be a fair review for an everyday person wanting to see how a particular knife cuts out of the box, before purchasing it. Some of the knives that come to mind with better performance are the WE Banter and WESN Allman. Both have similar blade length to the Mini Osborne, both have lower price points and both have s35vn steel. Again, thank you for watching and subscribing!
Yes, I agree that the testing should be done out of the box, and there are absolutely knives out there that will perform those tasks better. Especially a knife like the WE Banter which I love, it’s just a beefier knife overall though. Benchmade definitely needs to step their game up and make their knives sharper out of the factory. You’re already paying for that butterfly 🦋 tax. I’m just thinking that if it was sharper, you’d find it’s performance to be just as good.
@@juniorfreyre2493 Oh 100% a sharper blade would make it preform better, no doubt.
Damn.. it's 220€ in Europa. Im gonna go cry in the corner

LOL< all these guys with their cuts and band-aides! Guess they aren't very good handling these sharp instruments!
Haha post winter hands friend. It’s cold up here and I wash my hands a lot having kids. Dried out hands hence the breaken skin and dryness. But if I remember correctly yeah I hit my index finger playing with an auto. Thanks for stopping by and watching my video!
