Unfortunately, this doesn’t work on digital games… you need internet to even play Digital games. This is only possible on physical copy of this game or any other game if you wanna down grade them! Hope it works and helps everyone!

For more context: make sure auto updates are turn off and DO NOT buy the deluxe DLC if you wanna be online. This will lock you out of the game and forces you to update the game.
If you do buy the DLC is possible to still use the DLC but you have to stay offline the entire time to keep the 1.0 patch
So to ensure that this works, be offline before and after download and keep offline while playing to ensure 100% it will work!
When you play stellar blade Do you turn on or off Network to get achievements unlock ?
@@thissparta9000You have to update to 1.002 to sync Trophies to your online profile, but they still unlock in 1.000. You can remove and install 1.000 back if you wanna go sync them

i'm glad there is a video guide on this so that every 1 who come across it will learn how to play the game the way it was intended the only downside is that you cant watch Netflix or any other app such as hbo max and prime or stream youtube on your ps5 without turning the internet back on cause that will cause it to reinstall the update on Steller blade. so i hope that petition to free steller blade works out it should indeed be uncensored

@@angelbeats8996 We don't really know, because the problem is we don't know how exactly the contract between Sony and ShiftUp looks like. As far as my understanding goes (based on what Legal Mindset said - a lawyer yt) it seems that for such Second-Party Contracts both parties aren't allowed to throw shade at the other company / throw them under the bus. So the director would be legally bound to not point at Sony - even if it was Sony's fault, and have to say this.
If it's not sony but on ShiftUp side and what he said is correct, then this situation should be easily fixable anyway because then they can add them as alternate outfits, or as toggle option, or just revert it back.

@@georgetek no you don't lose your game data, meaning your progress you left off will still be in the game without their Censorship
Make sure to have auto updates off
Even if you have auto-updates off, you must have the internet off in your PS5 settings when starting the game because if you don't, it will ignore the auto updates off feature and will force the update anyway. Once it does that, it LOCKS the game till you update. If that happens, take the disc out, erase the install (don't worry, your save file will be fine, as long as you didn't finish the update), shut off the internet in your PS5 settings, put the disc back in and reinstall. You should be good to go after that.

It makes me think that Shift-up may have send the uncensored version for the disk under their noses and they got angry about it.
@@johnpenguinthe3rd13 So... I have disabled automatic updates (so if necessary I can manually see if they are there). I deleted the game and reinserted the disc with the internet connection turned off. However, I don't know if once you start the game, load the save (I arrived at the Landes) and reactivate the connection to be able to unlock the trophies you ignore it... in the information it gives me version 1.0. There is the user "Tokyo Stoner" who is playing it live in version 1.0, without censorship
The worst part is that Sony forces the update even if your settings prevent it. Isn’t it illegal to force an update without your consent?
Sony USED TO let you either pause or cancel the update and let you continue playing whatever game you're on.

Worked like a charm. Didn't even have to start over, my current save just started in the Uncensored Version.

Im pretty frustrating since day one. Because my friend told me the physical version just came with 1002 patch and I'm pretty confusing but I just agreed that. So I decide to insert my disc. After that switched to the TV and waiting for the install.

I can’t wait to try this! I’m about 65% of the way through the Digital Deluxe editions and my physical copy arrives tomorrow. I’d like to 100% the game uncensored, and then redownload, the digital version later for NG+. Hopefully by then, Shift Up puts out a new patch to revert the game back to its original glory.

I apperently pissed A LOT of people off so they're now banning me everywhere if i even mention the game anywhere but on youtube for... whatever reason
if you insert disc while connected then disconnect it, the game will say to update first to play.... if this happens just uninstall and reinstall disconnected it will keep your saved progress , I did this twice already lol luckily it downloads quickly 😅👍 so make sure your internet connection is off before inserting disc

Many have reported both in youtube vids/ Reddit that just clicking disable auto updates doesn't always work. Better safe than sorry and just forget your wifi networks. Might seem extreme but after this whole debacle I don't trust Sony for shit.
For people that want to use demo save file, imported it to the digital version but, I want to play the v1.0 from the physical copy you can still do it. Delete the game, save file and anything related to the game (Don't touch anything related to the demo). Then turn off auto updates(just making sure lol), disconect the PS5 from the internet and make a clean disc install. When you boot it up it's going to ask you to import save from the demo.
I don't know if the game will auto update bc I haven't gone online yet.
I really like this game, put 17 hours in it already and want to play it's Truest Version, so glad i bought the Physical Version. Going to reinstall as soon as i get Home.

I remember a couple months ago some people were saying to always get physical copies of games, if you can. The industry is being ruined by updates/changes long after you already spend your money. Just look at what happened to Pokemon Go. People customized their unique characters, probably spent money/hours getting specific clothing, only for the devs, years later, to change everyone's avatar into an androgynous blob for a higher ESG score.
They basically own the digital version of the game and can change it whenever and however they want. The customer owns the physical copy. It's not like they can barge into your house and forcefully take it from you. 😂

I had a feeling something lime this would happen, so I bought both copies. I am saving the physical copy unopened for now though. I believe this is going to be undone fairly quickly because I doubt ShiftUp wanted to do this censoring, so in the end it will be reversed. If it doesn’t I still have the disc to pop in there.
As someone who shares a PS5 with my wife. She plays FFXIV so unfortunately I can't just go and do this and keep console internet off at all times for the game to be uncensored. Because that would be highly unfair to her.
Just disable auto updates and you can go back online after install.

If you just turn off internet before you turn off your system, then turn it back on after you’re back on console menu, it won’t push the update and force you to update. If you turn off PS5 while it’s online, for me even with having auto-updates always off, it still started to update it otherwise

I heard that from launch the game had terrible input lag? I purchased the digital edition but the only main outfit I have noticed that was changed was a holiday bunny.

I only got the digital ps5 console. I still purchased the physical copy. Gonna shelf it for when i either get the slim ps5 (shelf it) or Ebay when there arent amymore original copies
I hate that Shiftup censored the costume on the lastest patch, however, didnt they reduce the input latency with parrying attacks from the latest update?
So I heard but it's perfectly fine on the disc version so maybe people are just frustrated on that.
they could have lied about it and instead of any latency changes they shadow patched the outfits like sony ordered them

Sadly you miss out on new game plus and such, but yes no censorship as I did the same thing, removed the digital one and installed the disk one, I still had my deluxe and preorder items with the saved game.
I got 3 additional copies coming from all regions. Eventually, imma try out 1.2 unfortunately

Yes. It will auto update everytime the game launches, stay offline until you uninstall, or are done with the uncensored version.
if you got slow internet,you could launch the game or check game for updates, then go to download and pause the download.Idk how big the patch is but if its several gigs than you got enough time to pause it.That way you can be online and all, you gotta pause it every time you turn the game on probably and i think if it downloads the patch you just go to downloads where it says complete and hit options and delete so it doesnt apply the patch next time you restart the game
Funny how i cant go into rest mode anymore with the game in pause. The moment i boot up, it pushes me out and asks for an update while connected. Before i got to do it a few times. Having the update paused. Everything off in settings.

I'm having a problem with my physical copy to where I have both the auto updates and the internet off, but it's still trying to update the patch. And it's not giving me an option to play the game without updating.
I've had the same issue. I'm confused as to how it's working for everybody else as well. I can't seem to find an answer so idk :(

The reason why it was stuck on updating was because we had the internet turned on while we had the game going.
You need to keep the PS5 offline the whole time until you are ready to download the patch for NG+. If you're stuck on updating again, just delete the game & then reinstall it from the disc.

@@warrenedwards5860 Apparently, you can actually still play NG+ Uncensored in SB.
Another youtuber posted a video tutorial of how to do it & you just have to download the 1.02 patch, start NG+, save, & then delete & reinstall the game back to 1.0.

Yes it works. You can switch from digital to physical and it will keep your save file, nothing can touch your save file besides yourself
@@TheGodJamesI think he's asking because sometimes when you update a game, it updates the save file as well. I've had games in the past that I've updated, uninstalled, reinstalled without updates, but when I tried to load my save file, it told me something along the lines of "this save data relies on a newer version of the game, please update the game to continue from this save" or something along those lines.

@@yogiwp_ yes, from my experience this is game is way harder on 1.0. Like way harder lol. It’s fun but man they wasn’t holding back with this one. In the patched version, it’s more easier to dodge stuff. Unpatched version, you can’t dodge as often as you should, enemies have tracking so regardless of what you do, you are still gonna get hit… master parry and this game is a cakewalk! Other than that, it’s do-able don’t feel discouraged

It's a shame the new patch stuff has a bit quality of life stuff for the game I'd prob play my first playthroughs with patch and if unpatch after I completed game but play unpatched version on different account my patch save file should be safe as long as I dnt play unpatch version on my patched save file account?

No, the deluxe DLC is available in 1.0. You have to get to the 2nd area of the game and their will be an box waiting for you for the Deluxe items

*A graffiti changed for cultural reasons,
*An "OceanMaid" outfit was for NG+,
*2 clothes added a stripe on the front, but others didn't, if it was censorship it would be on everyone, if it was censorship the fur would be urgently banned,
*One outfit was modified "Rabbit", but in my opinion for the better, combined more with the proposal of the hood and rabbit tail, than the swimsuit it was before,
*The gore, she just gets less dirty, but all the blood is still there, in my opinion it was to show the character even more...
And they even gave the option to improve the graphics with chromatic aberration and grain control.
I can't play anymore without the update.
When this game becomes a ps plus game I will try it out not paying 69 dollars for a censored or uncensored games from anyone . I will continue enjoying my pc games at a big discount.

I rather play uncensored out of principle tbh. More likely than not I wouldn't even use the censored outfit tbh.....I'm just 100% against censorship. (I'm not against people not playing something because it offends them... I'm against deciding what others can or cannot play because it offends you)

@@ricardokojin7 I can understand that for sure. But for me personally I prefer English VA over Japanese. Fortunately the games that I've played with English VA such as the persona series among a few others are pretty solid. But I don't mind the downgraded english VA for other games I can excuse it if evreything else about the game is good.

Download the patch with new game plus, start a new game plus and get to a point where u can save again. At that point delete all the data and reinstall the game. Do u think the save will work?

You know the blood and gore were censored as well, right? Not just most of the suits. In general, people don’t like blatantly false advertising from Sony of Stellar Blade being uncensored to push pre orders then it gets censored with the day 1 patch.

You can also just uninstall the game -- if you were connected and downloaded the Woke-compliant Cancel Culture patch to begin with -- go to the options of the console and disable "Auto-Downloads" and "Auto Downloads while in Rest Mode". That will also prevent the Lunatic Leftist patch.
