Don't really care about Fortnite, but Kingdom Hearts in Final Fantasy XIV would be incredible.

Yes that was made on unreal engine 4 as a test gameplay. The finished product is made with unreal 5 . Which will look amazing and I hope the just give a big trailer with the first trailer they dropped.
That's what I heard too. Something like, "The gameplay shown was running on the Unreal 4 engine in real time" and that all they were going to do was transfer it to Unreal Engine 5.

I'm hoping the series doesn't stray away from what made us all fall in love with it in the first place. Going from Kingdom Hearts I to what we have now, it's so drastically different. I've been happy to enjoy to beautiful choas that is the story of KH, but I'm wondering if Nomura has been a little too ambitious in his approach to the series as time has gone on.

Personally I’m not too excited about Sora potentially being in Fortnite, I’m not a big fan of the game to be honest. However! I am excited for anyone who is excited about it, and I hope they can have fun with it should it come to pass.

There was a time when I shared the same view as you, but nowadays I appreciate Fortnite for what it is.
A fever dream, where anything can happen.
I think the 2 major things that were actually bugging me back then were:
1. The community mostly made up of 9 year olds, I'd say that has definetely changed.
2. The fact that it was a third person shooter game, but I've gotten used to it.
From an objective stand point this game is definetely good, especially when you play it with friends and ey, it's free.
I used to think Fortnite was the stupidest thing ever, but it was actually festival mode which made me give it a chance. Now I play it every day with my friends
Don't play Fortnight personally, just not my cuppa but I do appreciate it for what it has done for many Fandoms and communities.
So this is closer to an "Oh Interesting, not my thing but good for the Franchise."
With Sora being in Fortnite I'm actually okay with that-- like you said, his name gets to spread out more to audiences.
The thing I'm really curious about is how Sora's, supposedly, "Day-to-day" life is going to work both gameplay and story-wise.
Imagine Sora actually going to school and KH4 is just a life simulator like Sims :b
I can imagine the day to day stuff may be a bit similar to what we had in KH2 with Roxas in the beginning. He was doing odd jobs around town and solving the 7 wonders. There may be mini games or small missions like with the cooking mini game in kh3.
probably have bonds like persona games or some combat unlocks tied to it, something to incentivize it
@yourjunes I actually really like this idea! It fits very nicely either kh's themes about forming bonds with other people hearts. It's a great opportunity to develop Sora's and new characters more.

The thing about leakers is, they can lie at any time just to stay in the lime light and people will believe them and then when its proven untrue they get mad at the game and not the leaker. So moral of the story is take ANY leak with a grain of salt and just assume its not likely. Dont get mad at the game because Leaker1234 got your hopes up.
Considering this specific leaker is known for having a very accurate track record I think i'll trust them for the time being. If they are wrong, then it's not really a big deal.
I bet SE is going to drop another trailer for either for KH missing link or hopefully, a new trailer for KH4, Sora is probably will be either work at a Café or attending school like in the mangas and animes, after all he is living in a city that resembles Shibuya

NOT bringing Kingdom Hearts to Switch 2 natively would be profoundly stupid, even for Square. That's why I think they will do it.
You forgot about how they made the intelligent decision to bring KH to the Switch in the cloud instead of just porting it.
@@michaelparker2326 That was BEFORE S-E's finances forced them to commit to a multi-plat strategy. The Cloud versions of KH sold like shit and created enormous backlash for Square. No way they can get away with that a second time.
I also think Disney had a lot to do with that decision. They are the types who understand that games take time to make. They are a company that wants their profit and wants it NOW. That is, they weren't willing to give Square the time they need to port the games properly. They wanted the games out TODAY.
They also wanted it to coincide with Sora's debut in Smash.
They should have just done original ports @@RawPower867 I mean the switch itself is handheld and cloud playing may not always be reliable on the go let alone people with home consoles may not even have internet.
If Disney seriously chose clouds over actual ports they're blinded by greed.
What if they don’t give em a gun but uses his keyblade as his weapon always but depending on the gun you pick up will depend on how the keyblades “shoots” since the keyblade already has projectiles so why not. Or what if gun transformation?

I really wish that they add more online features then just that. I'd KILL for the online features of Birth By Sleep. The online of that game was so heavily impacted by the system it was on and the game's controls. Especially since it sounds like they're making it a priority to make KH cross platform.

I was actually talking with a buddy recently about sora being in fortnite eventually. Being it took over 10 years to have him in Smash he said it was unlikely but seeing how theres so many things in place i do see that happening

The main problem I have with the Fortnite thing is that it would mess with the lore too much, cause Nomura would have to find a way to say a reason of why Spider-Man or Goku or whoever can randomly wield a Keyblade as a Pickaxe, plus with the whole "any character on the island is stuck in a loop thing" would also mess things up since that would mean Sora is permanently stuck in Fortnite, and one more thing, do you honestly think Nomura would allow Sora to do certain emotes that are very sus?

I’m wondering if the small online aspects will actually be more simple, like what they did in BBS with minigames or arena battles (meaning online team-up battles/boss fights, etc). although it would be really cool if they did successfully create a whole online player-tracking system like in Persona, I feel like that might be pushing it for Square considering how they love to stick to the basic & never really branch out in new and big ways with their ideas anymore. for that to be implemented they would have to think way out of the box & I don’t know if it’s even in the cards! I certainly would love to be wowed by them though for the first time in a while, so fingers crossed.🤞
What scares me is the fact that the Steam Deck may not be able to run it and that scares me I don't want to buy a new gaming rig just for this

4:56 I suspect this will likely only be part of the upcoming Disney metaverse. Possibly Lego Fortnite but I have doubts there. Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival may also be on the table though. Would be weird to see skins unusable in BR or StW but usable in every other part of Fortnite's metaverse but this might be a possibility for the future at this point.

Those KH4 rumors are FIRE & Sora being in Fortnite already has STRONG rumors going for it. Have also heard speculation of a P4 remake & P6 having a green color scheme, so that tracks!
This is actually quite a good idea if they go the route of connecting Kingdom Hearts with other IPs in game besides just disney.

Alright I have a switch, BUT I also have a ps5, & I’m gonna be honest I hope if there is a switch version of KH4 it’s worked on separately than the console + PC versions simply because of the fact the switch 2 will be on the levels of ps4/xbo, it’s just going to hold square back on what they can do to make sure that game is able to release on the switch 2

Online features seem unnecisary, KH has always been single player (Union games don't count) and I can just imagine Square locking keyblades behind some multiplayer boss raid.

same on both. online componets from my experience with single player games always feel tacked on like an after thought and nowadays is used to bus in mtx mostly... speaking of mtx that worries me on the fortinite partnership, the audience from fortnite are used to mtx being the norm which worries me less about the humillation aspect and more about the new blood transfusion into the fan pool being more receptive to preditory mtx the execs at square knowing this and kingdom hearts turning into a skinner box once they reach critical mass.

Right now, I just hope the Steam KH games are stable, considering how Square is known for s---ting on the PC ports of their games. I got KH 1.5 + 2.5 from Epic Games, and it crashed twice for no reason. And my notebook can tank Resident Evil 4 Remake, so I doubt it's an issue with my PC.
