Great stuff I learned quite allot, I had my PCV replaced by the dealer and they charged me an arm and a leg, only discovered later that it wasn't such a big deal.
On the Old Oil Plug there should have been a crush washer, Most Audi's and some VW's have them. I think your A4 had the original oil plug washer removed at some oil change and not replaced
I just bought a 2013 A4 (B8) and need to change the CVT transmission fluid (and maybe the filters?). Have you done this before? Have a video? If not, Can you find a video anywhere? I feel like I've looked all over and keep coming up empty. Thanks!

On my B8 A4 I had to put on 2 rubber o-ring's to keep the oil drain plug from leaking. Pretty shit design from Audi if you ask me, surprised you didn't have this issue.
