have a B8 2008 thank you for explaining the dip stick tube I was wondering what that was. The computer takes ages to calibrate the oil level in mine sometimes 2-3 days of driving of not knowing the oil level. Wish they would have left the manual dip stick as a backup.

It is basically the same engine ;) EA888

Yes, this is fairly common actually, many engine components are shared between engines so you get very similar engines, or even sometimes almost identical in slightly different displacements.

Why is there 2 threaded holes in my daughter's catalytic converter? One has an o2 sensor. The other is an empty hole with threads. Almost like it's missing a second o2 sensor. Can anybody shed dune light on that?

    very helpful!
May I bother you for one small question: which side is the throttle body? I assume it is the left side, going down the air intake hose towards the bottom. But then on the right side there seems to be ANOTHER hose linking to the right side of the engine. So where is the throttle body on the bottom left or right?
    Thanks!
