Thank to dad for shooting this (myk473)
NOTE: this is a now rare westbound on stampede pass.
Since this video they have stopped running West bounds.

Stampede pass has been seeing more traffic lately, although it’s usually just empties. Empty coal, empty oil, and empty grain. The only westbound that I’ve seen lately is just a MOW train. BNSF has replaced its jointed rail on that line with welded rail. The Cle Elum area just got new 2 weeks ago. (As of 4/26/20)

With the grain rush probably 4-5
But when the grain isn't coming then theirs usually 0-2

Huh thats interesting, they have concrete ties for that little of traffic, they ever thinking about putting more traffic on the line?

well the concrete tie's were put in when the then NEWLY formed BNSF reopened the line. They cant run a majority of east bound traffic because the tunnel is not geared up for high wide or Double stack cars.

So is how many trains run stampede pass per day?
