    Man, you've really struck gold with this idea imo, i love this. Now we just need SynthRecipes...

      I'll second that...just looking at Omnisphere alone, assuming recipes built from just 4 patches, and ignoring how the patches are played, there would be 7,231,131,670,395,720 possible combinations just from the stock presets. The vast majority of those combinations would never, ever have been heard by any human being (and never likely to). So a little guidance would be helpful :)
      • That number above? Seven quadrillion, two hundred thirty one trillion, one hundred third one billion, six hundred seventy million, three hundred ninety five thousand, seven hundred and twenty. So trying them all is not an option...

    Straight to the point, the whole idea of these Recipes is going to become one of the best composition/orchestration tool ever.

    Good things come to those who wait!! This next offering of the "recipe" series is going to be brilliant and something, I know, will have been worth waiting for. Looks and sounds amazing. Staying connected and keeping the ear to the rail for whenever it's ready for public consumption. Awesome news indeed.

  • @SimonKirk-MindMovingMusic

    Can't wait. I agree with the other comments - your approach to teaching orchestration is spot on!

      Oliver, it's much appreciated - lots more coming (although it does take me a while to cook each new Volume). Volume 4 is well underway at the moment.

    Now I really got to work on one of the first 2 volumes! This is because the samples you’ve shown here sound a little bit like my favorite composers.

    This is all great, but... which string library should I buy to use with this!! :D Seriously though - can't wait for this. It's a great formula. 1 & 2 were awesome, and I'm still getting so much from them, so can't wait for Vol 3.

      Hi Danny - really glad the recipes are proving useful for you. At the moment these three Volumes are the only orchestration/composition related tutorials I've done, but there's lots more coming. Otherwise, you can look me up at Amazon.com, have been writing books on music for decades, but they're focused on practicing/pedagogy/piano.

      @@orchestrationrecipes Thank-you, I am currently working my way through secrets of orchestration, as well as online school. The books are great but the amount I learn from your course in a quick succession, as well as the inspiration I take away. My thirst for knowledge from your content is unmatched. Recipe 3 was a whole other level explaining how music works in the mot simple terms no rubbish, just do this and it works please give me more 😊.... Any one who is thinking of buying but unsure, BUY IT NOW!

    Sorry to bother you because it’s not directly related to the Orchestration Recipes. But I was wondering where we could find the Template Track custom Icons you’re using in this video? I know we can make them, but if we could save time, it would be awesome. I would definitely buy them…

    • @MFJMD564
      @MFJMD564 Před rokem

      He was only using it as an illustration in the video to explain the situation of many people diving into orchestration. I don't think he intends to sell a template. In his recipes, he specifies that you can now start composing with whatever libraries you possess. A template would be created for a specific library only, which goes against his teaching concept, and he'd need to provide it for multiple DAWs. I prefer he spends his time on creating new educational content. You can buy templates from other companies and people on the web.
