    It took me the first two items in this video to realize what's wrong with the music. Sir, the way you concealed the actual music in such a subtle way while preserving enough character for us to recognize the original, is truly genius.     I was going through the Chairman Dances score and seeing how the flutes managed to play in combination a sound neither could have sustained individually but sounded like a single instrument so it's great to see how you use them here in the Adams bit.

      @@MattiaChiappa David Bruce's CZcams channel has a couple of very interesting videos on Adams' orchestration worth a look and covers this too. It';s what mad eye get the score out to look it over. That whole idea that what you THINK you're hearing is a carefully crafted product of orchestration and when it's broken down, each instrument isn't playing quite what you think it is. It goes back much further than Adams but it canned the way I thought about orchestration as a whole. Coming to it as a listener is not the same as how the composer crafts what you you're actually listening to. anyway, I've loved this series of videos and watch them frequently. Terrific stuff.

      @@MattiaChiappa lol I was just wondering cause I liked that texture of the fabric I treat clothes like compositions when putting stuff together lol I binged all the orchestral technique videos on you're channel some really great advice in there, got a piece im working on now blending a synthwave and filmscore feel together and I used some of these tricks. Thanks again can't wait for more videos :)

    Hey Mattia! A question regarding Smetana’s “Moldau” (Vltava). Is this your arrangement of main theme? I know the piece quite well and the main motif is bit different. You ve done a great job, i really like it!

      Hi thanks, I’m not necessarily trying to copy my references. I’m taking the essence of what it makes it sound the way it does and adapt it to the main theme I used through the series.

    Another excellent video, and I'm looking forward to Episode 10! I was wondering... if there was one book that would put someone on track to approach your knowledgeability and skill level, what would you recommend reading?

      Thanks! I’m more of a practical kind of guy, I think getting some scores you can transcribe and or study is a way more efficient way to spend your time. That’s how I learned what I know

    How did you program the runs in 82? Just drawing them in?

      If I remember correctly I played them in at a painfully slow tempo, both hands separately, then brought the tempo back to normal.
