#starwars - Zábava
John Williams will surely go down in history as one of the world's finest composers, up there with the likes of Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Bach.
That reminds me of this exchange after Spielberg first showed Williams a rough cut for Schindler's List.
Williams: You need a better composer than I am for this film.
Spielberg: I know. But they're all dead!
He already is in my book.
He copies the composers of old without crediting them. I wish he could be copyrighted or something because he’s copied Prokofiev, Chopin, and Dvorak. And he has never credited them in a film. The composers of old would at least give credit if they drew inspiration from another person.
@@xpkryanx Yes, he does draw inspiration from others, Holst, especially, at the behest of George Lucas, but the composers of old also drew from one another. Prokofiev from Chopin and Beethoven; Chopin from Bach and Liszt; Bach from Vivaldi, and so forth. Even then, I highly doubt Williams would be copyrighted. All composers, even the timeless legends, draw from one another - that is the reality of things. Embrace it. In this way, the historical continuity of music marches on, and that, like the music itself, is a beautiful thing indeed.
Grand Admiral Thrawn
I love Thrawn and governor Pryce wish they had both survived the End of Rebels but both Perished with Honor.
Pryce didn't retreat like Tarkin
Thrawn was defeated by what the Benden said would happen to him.
Ezra saved our old Favorite Jedi through Time travel and we lost Gregor and Kanan and Sato and many other Heroes as well.
Long Live a United Galaxy!
I'm glad John Williams isn't completely done with Star Wars. While I suspect he won't score a whole film after Episode 9, I don't doubt he'll come back to score a character theme or other single tracks sometime in the future, similar to how he scored the Han Solo character theme for Solo while someone else scored the rest of the film.
You can't get a more authentic Star Wars experience than a score by John Williams himself and it's perfect.
Also am I the only one who jumped when I heard that Rise of the Resistance takes place "BETWEEN The Last Jedi and Episode IX"? Is this the confirmation of the Time Skip? That concept short shows a pretty armed Resistance fleet.
Of course they would be time skip, why is everyone surprise?
remember that the rebellion grew into the Rebel Alliance.
I'm sure the Hutts, other crime syndicates, Lando's people and other people who's way of life is threatened by the first order are going to be lending ships and bodies to the Resistance. That's the whole premise of IX.
@@elijahwatson3474 it was a bit up in the air, it could've gone anywhere and there's a chance the original pitch for IX picked up immediately after TLJ like TFA did. But this is solid confirmation.
@@Crusader143d fingers crossed for the Chiss and Finn leading the Stormtrooper uprising.
I hope Episode IX music will be magical
JULIAN oh, u know it will be
Your doubts are misplaced for John Williams is a Grand Master of the Force. Even in crappy movies his music soars.
@@Falxifer95 I want orignals track, not just old theme re use like most of The Last Jedi
well there will most likely be Reys theme, the force theme, possibly Leias theme, maybe the Falcon's theme. As well as Kylos theme and maybe the March of the Resistance theme. so it will already be good from just that
@@joethahobo Kylo Theme is gold.
Rise of the Resistance is a multidimensional ride with over 100 animatronics. It's loaded with practical sets and digital effects. The vehicles are trackless, giving the feeling of randomness on the ride. Also, each vehicle (seen in the video) has an astromech droid on the front of it.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Let us all pray with hope that Mr Williams will be able to conduct Episode 9 and Indiana Jones 5.
An Anonymous Guy Who Comments He (deservedly) retiring after 9
He said he was retiring from Star Wars after 9 which is perfectly understandable. He might retire after Indy 5 which again is understandable if that is the case. I hope he chooses R1 and Solo's composers to replace him since they wear spot on.
So excited for this man.💓🙏
That hotel experience sounds insane. Can't wait to visit this in person :)
Can’t wait for the life day decorations during Christmas time
Alex, I hate to be that guy but the footage of the theme park construction was shot in BOTH Orlando and Anaheim. You can tell what park is what, Orlando's is surrounded by lots of flat land and green trees; while the California park has mountains in the distance, a lot more theme park buildings closer (the red fairings on the Incredibles coaster are pretty obvious) and a lot more smog. ;)
I was grinning durring this ENTIRE video! I'm so excited for this!
YESSS!!!! New John Williams Star Wars music...this just made my whole week!!!
This sounds amazing. Originally I was like "oh it's just another part of the park", but now I'm honestly thinking I'll have to visit sometime. It sounds NUTS!🤩
I’m gonna cry when I step into Galaxy’s Edge
Will make the park truly feel like a piece of the galaxy far far away!
I reeeeeeeally want to go, but it would be far too expensive for me 😢
The amount of reservations for that star wars hotel are gonna be insane, can't imagine it having any empty rooms for the first 3 years
The fact that the "Rise of the Resistance" ride seems to imply that they Resistance is coming into form and the first order in the ride trailer are surprised to see them may be a bit of a episode IX spoiler. Normally in previous stories it was the First Order that was "rising" and was the one surprising everyone. This ride could be a post Last Jedi ride, where the resistance has regrouped and rebuilt it's forces underground and is ready to strike the First Order.
John Williams is awesome
Looks amazing. If I were Lucasfilm, I would absolutely include Batuu in the story of The Mandalorian, and shoot one of the episodes in the park before it opens to the public.
Hey Alex, would you say that William's score for the park will end up being released as its own album or do you think it'll be kept specific to the park as presumably most such scores are? 'Cause that'd be incredible if it were to be released!
O O'Sullivan Disney releases a lot of their theme park music on resort soundtracks you can buy in the parks. Wouldn’t be surprised if they release a SWGE album at all.
All those who are wondering, they're building two of these in Disneyland California and Disney World in Florida. Both will open next year with Disneyland opening first in Summer while World will open in Fall.
To tell you I'm a huge fan of star wars just like you when I was younger I had a make a wish because of my disability and I got a little over 2 grand worth of star wars legos!!!
impressive most impressive
This was announced at Destination D btw
So excited!!! 😀
That’s sounds awesome! I’m already sold.
Can’t wait for this
Even a 86 Mr. Williams is a genius
This is both awesome and sadly several hours of plane away from me.
I love John Willaims
When this opens.. im moving to Florida.
What chance would you give the Yuuzhan Vong being made canon and in what format would be best live action or animation. Love the show
SWGE been open about three months now & I still have not heard any of John William's music any where inside the park. Humm!!
OH HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent 👍☯️👍
That would be a great name for eps. 9 🙂
Um nope? Every title of the saga hints the plot of the story, this doesn't say anything. It's unoriginal.
Nice Video :)
I have a feeling the footage with the mountains in the backround is Anaheim not Orlando
I'm right in the middle of reading Thrawn: Alliances. For those who plan to read it but haven't already, slight spoiler warning.
Do you think that there will be any references to the book in the park? The book is mainly based around Batuu and the Unknown Regions, and in it we see some Seperatist activity. Maybe there'll be a downed Vulture Droid or something like that.
Thanks Alex
Rise of the Resistance is nothing like Secrets of the Empire. It’s all physical sets, projection mapping, and an actual ride with vehicles. It won’t be VR at all.
The ride vehicles are actually briefly seen in the promo clips; they are those trackless ground speeders with the black R5 Astromech's in the front.
Jacob Lyman Correct, and they’ve had physical models of the vehicles and concept footage available since D23 last year.
Yep. ;) A full on Void like VR experience simply could not keep up with the needed ride capacity of a Disney park with thousand's of guests per hour expected to pass through a ride.
No, the hotel isn’t a ride, the ride of the resistance is a trackless ride and it’s ride vehicles look great.
I expect you to be there opening day Alex.
When is the park opening
2:29 is that starhawks?
SO, if the park’s story takes place between VIII and IX, can we confirm that Onaka is alive during the events of TLJ?
Wow Disney is throwing more than a bit of cash at this.
It's a smart way of doing it though.
😊
Galaxy's Edge is not a theme park... it's an expansion of Disneyland in California and Hollywood Studios in Florida.
Is the galaxy's edge park going to have the same features in Disneyland and Disneyworld, or will they differ?
Basically identical all throughout in terms of attractions, shops etc. but the layout of the land will be different.
@@gissnericThanks, good to hear.
I really like the idea of this park but unfortunately I feel like it'll just be bogged down in lines and too many people
Well, if you and 3 million other people stay home....I can enjoy the ride...lol...
Easy solution. Go to the park before opening. Book fastpasses. If you're a fan, you would do just about anything.
Michael Giacchino is the true successor to John Williams.
Disney stop tempting me to move to Florida
Ha.... ha..... YESSSSSSSSSSSS
This all sounds wonderful but I'm certain it will be obscenely expensive.
NEED TICKETS NOW PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, this ain't advanced ticket sales. Just go there when it opens.
I swear if Life Day is during Christmas I will revolt
It’s a land, not a park
Wait is this gonna be in Disney land
OR
Is this gonna be a new park ???
.?????
Its a land being constructed in two places:
Disneyland Park Anaheim California
Disney's Hollywood Studios Orlando Florida
So no, its not a standalone park; but it is part of two existing Disney parks. The Disneyland site in California has the Star Wars area being built behind Frontierland & Critter Country, just to the west of Toontown.
Here's the real question. How can one permanently live at the space hotel whist also work at the hotel/rides so that one never has to leave the Star Wars Experience but still afford to do so? lol
17#
I want to work there because I’d work hard to please my fellow fans
Also, please stop calling it a park, it's not a park. It's a Themed Land within 2 existing theme parks.
Think of it like this:
A scene is a part of a movie.
A land is a part of a park.
I know it's nitpicky, but as a theme park and Star Wars enthusiast, it really bugs me when people call Galaxy's Edge a "theme park".

Hi, I’m looking to put together a charity live stream for the victims of the camp fire. If you’re interested please contact me
Cool stuff for the rich lol
Rich? park tickets are only $100
Too bad it’s in Disney world
You know what, I’m going to say it. John Williams is an unoriginal composer who copies the composers of old. If you listen to classical music you notice he is very unoriginal. And he is kind of insulting to these amazing artists. Everybody knows john Williams, but who knows Dvorak, Prokofiev, and Chopin. A smaller number in comparison, because he gives no credit where credit is due.
Sorry but THE LAST JEDI was bad STAR WARS movie. 🙁
