Just bought a hybrid bike today specifically for in-town shopping trips and wanted to get a good Topeak rack system for it. I'm glad I found this video showing the disc mount system because the bike I bought has disc brakes. Just ordered it and a compatible Topeak crate from Amazon. Thanks for this video.

You should use some locktite blue, semi permanent thread locker to prevent any unfortunate mishaps. Loosing a screw in a remote location while carrying a load can ruin your day.

Cheers for the video, I did the exact same things as you to begin with. The only difference is I bought a "Universal" Pannier Rack (It was meant for normal bikes without disks) XD
This one is for the disks though so sweet, I have just bought one similar :)
Always best to do re-search first when looking into anything new. You video helps a lot.

Installed mine on an NCM electric Moscow mountain bike with hydraulic disc brakes. Fit perfectly until it came to connect those straps to the frame. Zero mounting holes. I actually used zip ties to the frame. Holds it solid and no drilling/tapping holes etc.
I painted my straps flat black looks perfect and not clear why TOPEAK didn’t make those powder coat black. Odd

Enjoyed the video. I agree with one of the other posters that a little locktite will save you some possible headaches. Additionally, just for aesthetics, might want to pain those silver support arms black to match the rest of the rack.

Exactly, they sell you a black rack with bright silver front brackets that make it look cheap and nasty, come on Topeak colour match please.
