THANK YOU SO MUCH. Powering my modem off then on did the trick AFTER disabling all its 5GHZ networks. When I tried connecting by just disabling the 5GHZ's it wouldn't connect, it needed that power reset. I also opted NOT to update the firmware as I researched a lot of WYZE owners had problems after doing that. Once it was connected I re-enabled the 5GHZ networks and everything is working as it should. Thanks again after two frustrating days of trial and error.

I tried all that with the Wyze V3, I even did a factory reset and still won't reconnect to my network.
    It won't reconnect 😢 I'm so frustrated 😤

I'm glad that you found that your cameras started working after rebooting the router. There is definitely a need to try everything. I have several Wyze v.1,V2. V3, OG, and v3 Pan. I also have 2 of the Chinese Pan based on the same hardware before Wyze went into business upgrading the firmware with English. After several years, of working, 2 of the cams (OG and Pan) failed to connect to the network. One still worked. These 3 were connected to the closest WiFi router. The router is downstream of the main Gateway which has Wifi feeding several other Wyze Cams at the other end of the house. After trying all the suggested solutions on the Wyze site and the inconvenience of climbing ladders to reach the "defective" ones, I tried them on the other router and they worked. So 2 had not worked on the sub-Router, but 1 had. Deleting the "NON Connecting" cams from the Cell App and adding them again helped some (start to use the App Guide) but still wouldn't connect to the Wifi. I turned off any security and that made no difference. I was thinking that a Sub-Router may be the problem as it is for some computers finding devices like printers on a LAN. I don't yet have a foolproof method for all cameras, but only suggest that others try everything... not just the things that work most of the time. The App is not accurate for some cams, in that it says that once plugged in the light will blink. Some do, but some won't until you press the "Setup" button (which is not fun if you have mounted the camera already) I'm just glad that I didn't have these random issues on the Chinese versions since I don't understand the language.

Me too! And THIS ALWAYS happens to me!!! I wonder if they do this on purpose so we can buy new cameras🤔🤔🤔. I will try to reboot the router tomorrow.

:) Thanks for sharing, I have a different issue since Wyze firmware update Nov 2nd 2023, drops off MUCH! Secondly I have TRASHED ALL 4 of my Yi Cameras as the updates have made them JUNK, stealing bandwidth etc! All the BEST!

Agree, they could do it... but that envolves to change the product design and use a another WiFi board that works with both frequencies and that will increase the price for sure. Anyway, thanks for the comment.

Thank you for the video. It helped me to solve my issue as well. I used a IP Scanner to determine which IP conflighted and I then set static IPS in my router for the cameras to avoid it being assigned the same IP as another device. I reckon this might happen if you WiFi repeaters in you setup as well.

Thanks for the video... sadly didn't help in my case.
I've tried all wyze suggested tips ad nauseam including setting and using a 2.4GHz only wifi, flashing the latest v2 firmware (and even a previous version, I tried also those "fixes" found online and still nothing, I tried the router reboot, nothing, tried different router, nothing, tried wyze app from other phone, nothing, tried deleting wyze app cache and doing setup again, nothing. At this point saying that's frustrating it would be a massive understatement.
The fact is that this is 99% due to a firmware update bricking my v2 which was working fine just a week ago. All other cameras have been updated and the V3 and V1 didn't get affected (thankfully for now at least!). I only have one single V2 and it's now exhibiting this issue.
I think I'll dump the camera and never buy Wyze products ever again. It's unacceptable that the company bricks its own camera and forces customers to have no options other than trashing their products.

No you must downgrade that firmware. Then it will work. The update if issues occur then it says it must be reset to old. Well u have to download the software yourself load it onto the SD card and hold setup while plugging in device 3 times to get into firmware mode. Lol I know sounds wild

Once I did a firmware update 1 camera stopped working and I get the "can't connect to local network" message. I tried everything and it still won't connect. I guess it a paper weight. I no longer accept firmware updates from Wyze

Tried this, didn't work for me either, I have wyze v2 and original cam pan....cam pan sees things, go all the way thru setup and after scanning QR code...says cannot connect....where to find original firmware? I restarted router over and over again...nada..At least my important camera is working still.....losing faith in Wyze so very quickly...once my main camera goes out...I QUIT!!

Reset my router a bunch of times, even got it to connect and it named it but then when it goes to the screen it fails and says can't connect recycle device. I do that and try again it it won't load the video. Very strange as my cam has worked for a long time. I even tried with a new V3 cam and it won't connect either. There is nothing new on my network as these camera's are the only thing connecting to the 2.4ghz and when I look at my router settings they are fine. I can connect other devices to the 2.4 and they work fine including 2 phones. At this point I'm stumped.

If I place the camera under the soffit outside of the house and if it loses it's connection to the wifi, will I need to get to it in a ladder to reinitialise the connection?

Thanks for showing us this. Just think about how many devices connect to the wifi... cameras, tvs, roku, printers... that is just off the top of my head. Maybe we can find another common interface item. I am going to go disconnect another camera and keep trying.

Just got mom's working again. It spontaneously shut down (front door cam v2) I did this in order.
    1 reset router
2 hard shut down of cam at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and back on.
    3 remove memory card
4 press reset for a full 15 seconds
    5 install memory card again
    6 reinstall the app.
I had only 1 cam down.
