    The most unrealistic part of this sketch is that the Germans were late

    The "My definition of nothing... is Peter Andre"-part has to be one of the best line-deliveries in the history of comedy!

    It's so beautiful how perfectly they subvert the actual fight. We come in expecting constant snide remarks about Nazis and the English, and instead we get a huge fight over celebrity gossip.

    Thank you for not including the joke in the title of the video like some muppet might have done in vain hope of more views
    "Armstrong & Miller - pensioners fight over Jordan and Peter André" or some such

    just like how guys end up being friends after a punch-up, same applies for guns as well as fists. My granddads best friend was a Czech Waffen SS soldier that shot him in the arse while he parachuted down.

    I can forgive the Germans for The Blitz and invading the Soviet Union but insulting Peter Andre is crossing the line.
    That German chap is an absolute cad who thoroughly deserved the trashing he received.

    The. BBC took this talent, Alexander Armstrong and gave him Carte Blanche with his genius partner, Ben Miller to continue with their comedy series......????? Err, NO! They made Armstrong the host of "Pointless" cheap telly, banal quiz format aided by another BBC protege, Richard Osman, look up smug bastard in the OED and it says, "See Richard Osman". And Ben Miller? He has since been reduced to adverts for some fucking supermarket bollocks.

    • @Lucifronz
      @Lucifronz Před 6 lety +6

      No. One's history and the other's celebrity gossip.
      I don't even know who Jordan and Peter Andre are and I don't need to. They're irrelevant.

      I used to get really irritated when my dad would start taking about WWII. I'd give anything to have him back now for a really good long talk and tell him that somehow now I read all those books he used to read.

      O aye.
      Good call!!
      I know that junior ranks can salute officers bare headed but can officers return it minus headdress?
      There used to be a series of documentaries years ago called In The Highest Tradition which covered all sorts of regimental quirks
      That's when we actually had a goodly number of regiments....
