    Thanks for the video, we are possibly getting a May freeze in Denver tonight so I get to practice the process today.

    You should do a video on sanitizing the water system on this trailer. Just an idea to add to your collection of great videos! Thanks for the winterizing and de-winterizing video as I just got a 2022 194bhs.

    I'm new to the camper thing. I'm in Upstate NY so your not far from me really. Winter is sucking...lol. Just got a 2012 Flagstaff Shamrock in really good shape last year. Probably should bring it to you guys to make sure I don't get any leaks in the roof. Well thanks for the video, we appreciate it. Oh I had to remove the garbage radio and add a Pioneer in place of the oem with Bazooka Speakers. Ahh, Much Better.

    Thank you for this great video! I followed this procedure exactly however and encountered an issue people should know of. Prior to the last step of depressing the city water check valve you need to depressurize the system!! Turn off the water pump and let some pressure off. I didn't do this (it wasn't mentioned in the video) and I had to replace the entire valve assembly because it blew out the small o ring and the system leaked.

      Same here ... Followed the procedure and needed to replace the city water valve assembly. Please add a notification to avoid such extra work and costs. Other than that, this video is great.

      I also had this issue happen last year after winterization which started to a slow leak on the outside of the valve I had to take it in to get fixed. What is the correct way to depressurize the system? Just turn the pump off and run couple sink faucets?

    Great video and information. The inside shower, you could just disconnect the shower head below the handles and not worry about the line having fluid in it.

    No suction on the line that I drop on the anti freeze after I turn on the pump. What seems to be the problem

    I'm watching in July!! We finally took our RV out for the first time and we had snow for the first time in Fort Worth TX. I did not winterize my RV, and thought we were good, but once I started adding water, we started seeing water leak from the bedroom, I am looking on how to remove the inside panels to access the water heater on the bedroom. I have a northtrail 24 bhs.

    The instructions at the Coachmen website say to put the antifreeze into the city water connection before running the pump. The hose at the pump inlet is used if you're blowing out the system with air. If you draw the antifreeze in at the pump inlet, how does it get into the line from the city water inlet?

    • @JeffinTD
      @JeffinTD Před rokem

      Since no one answered, normally if you are going to blow out the fresh water, you use an adapter from air coupler to garden hose and blow out from the city water connection. Personally (after draining and bypassig the water heater) I do that to blow the fresh water out of everything, using a pitcher to keep water out of the tanks. Then I use the winterizing hose on the pump to get pink at every outlet. Hook the air up again and blow the pink out. That way I can winterize using about a gallon, leaving the pipes mostly dry but what is there is rv antifreeze, with most of the antifreeze ending up in the P traps. Hopefully that’s sorta clear…

    What about the black tank flush Junior? And should we pour some more antifreeze down back tank after final emptying to be safe?

    • @KeystoneRVCenter
      @KeystoneRVCenter  Před 2 lety +1

      I typically do not do anything with either. The black tank flush per my service manager we do not have to do anything with. Empty black tank is find. If you want to add some antifreeze in after I would not say you are wrong.

    I've watched a few of these videos and they are all great but one thing i am not sure of and they don't talk about is once you have gone thru every drain and hose do you go back and flip the valves from the water heater tank back to normal? or do you leave them blocking the water heater tank?

    • @KeystoneRVCenter
      @KeystoneRVCenter  Před 2 lety +1

      Leave them in the winterize position for the winter. The issue with opening them is letting the antifreeze into the hot water heater. You want to keep it out of that

    Hi JR,
    I purged the valve at the city water connection and antifreeze shot out like a cannon.
    I noticed leakage after that and the pump would kick on about every 20 seconds.
    How do I get that valve to seal again?
    Thank you
