Thanks for the video. In cold climates (Canada etc), a leaf blower with lightweight extension is great for blowing dry snow off top of RV. Drain gutter pipes work well, just beware of sharp edges. Easy to make the bends needed to reach top of RV. Stay gold.
I have 2 rigs one I bought from you guys (You were great Jr!) the other from somewhere else (Ugh). Anyway, I gave both a good wash and condition treatment last month and the rain is still beading on them. I plan to do them in the spring also. Not much snow where I am in Virginia so I'm going without a cover and will nose dive them if I need to. It's not that hard to wash and condition the roof so hope that will keep it in good shape.
I live in Baja from Oct. to may, lots of sun. I want to cover my winni revel to keep the sun from beating down on it when I’m not using it. Which is the best van cover to buy? Thanks.
Ive never had an issue tarping my camper. Only time you may not want to is if the camper is brand new so you dont have to deal with the "mold" problem. But for a camper roof thats used and already has green algae/mold on top, it wont matter. Just go up there in the spring and clean the roof. It gets it all off for me.
I have 4 solar panels, an AC and vent cover on top. Seems this leaves a lot of vulnerability to freeze/thaw cycles causing problems. Considering hard foam fillers to raise a cover and really only covering the top of the camper rather than rapping it 100% as do do many.... input/thoughts welcome?
I would talk to the locals and see how they do it. I do not have enough experience in that area of the country to be an expert. it depends on what part of the country you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.- smokey and the bandit
when I cover the RV for the winter, should I open windows to allow more air flow thru the rig or button it up tight? Mine sat for a year and a half covered and we had some mold/mildew and I thought maybe it wasn't able to breathe. Thoughts?
As long as it gets some use when the leafs start falling or you clear off around the ac or roof vent in the fall before winter. I do not see a problem with it. I just would not want 45 lbs of maple tree leafs laying up against the AC and roof vents seams all winter. When they start breaking down it is hard on everything for some reason
It can take an hour the first time but you will get better at it. However I do not know if I would do that in between each time. Look at having the unit coated with ECO to prevent UV damage
I have a cover I use my rig a lot at least once a month til December then it will sit till March maybe April so I do cover it no more than 4 months then we’re lookin for the road again ...what I’m finding out is that my rig is fading and it’s only 2 years old ya so go figure
Do not want to act like I am an expert on Florida, I know what we do in the northeast and what works here. I would talk to local RV Campgrounds and RV owners
What if your issue is the heat and sun of Florida rather than snow? Same principles? Or other/different things to consider? We own a new 20 ft travel trailer.
I would talk to someone who lives in FL. I know there's different things but we just do not get the same abuse in PA. I would love to answer but the best answer I can give is get local advice. If you are a fisher think of it as getting bait advice from someone that fishes on a lake and you are going to be doing deep water salt fishing. Yep still fishing but completely different too -JR
I bought an expensive RV cover and it still caused mold. I had to throw it out. I live in the pac nw where there is so much rain. What is my best option? I have a small teardrop trailer.
I have a 41’ class A coach and I need a Lifetime warranty cover as you mentioned please send me the link or let me know where I can purchase one thank you waiting for your response
Why nose dive it? Why not raise the nose...? Wouldn't it make more sense to have anything run off the rear of the unit rather than the front. Also, the way the vents (AC, plumbing, roof hatch etc.) are positioned, wouldn't you be allowing snow and debris build up where the louvers/ vents open?
Hello we have been on our stationary rv for almost a year. it looks like the same ac and it sucks the screen is not responding we are currently in AZ 😢... do you have any videos about this?
Protecting from UV rays is very important. I would suggest keeping it covered if possible. It's also important to keep an eye on the roofing membrane and all of your seals regularly. UV rays can damage the membrane and seals. You may also want to look into what UV protectant products are on the market for your specific type of roofing membrane. -MARK
Is it possible to have someone put up a car port? Something into the ground with a nice cover over it? That would be what I do. If you have a 28' RV now make it as long as possible because your next one will be longer and taller and you will want to plan ahead
If you refuse or can’t use a cover for what ever reason. Clean your roof at least every 6 months or more apply more dicor when needed and apply aerospace 303 UV protectant to the roof and awning.
I would not do that. The cost of the RV a proper RV Cover is a fraction of the cost. I would advise against the Tarp. I have seen what units look like that are tarped after several years. It is not pretty
@@KeystoneRVCenter it’s all good man…rv covers don’t usually last long in my location wind uv and snow…you can tarp safely it’s just gotta be done right with a rope that goes around the rv and then numerous ropes pulling down….and it’s gotta be fairly tight

Great tip!
I don't think you can do a pressure test for RVs with a slide-out.

You go it! Hope everything has been going great with you guys let me know if you need anything you go my cell
I wish I lived closer to your dealership, the ones where I live in Idaho don't provide services like pressure testing.
I am sorry. What brand RV do you have?

How do you measure the for the right cover ?? I have 2022 21 ft flagstaff micro lite .
Thanks for the info! Still not sure if covering here in Oklahoma is the way to go yet,,,,then again it’s only my first winter with a camper.
Yeah its gonna be a personal call

Show a video doing the pressure test would be great and do you guys offer this as a service ifso what is the cost
That would be easy! Great idea
What do you do guys as an RV dealership during winter? I went to my RV dealership and they don't cover their hundreds of RVs parked in their lot.
Leave them sit on the lot we do not cover them. Thats why I am not stressing a cover in the video
Will a cover project from hail damage

Do a video putting on a heavy cover on a 40 foot trailer by yourself.
Just got to talk the boss into buying a cover just for the video....
Would you cover trailer if it is stored for the summer season in Florida?
I would talk to the locals and see how they do it. I do not have enough experience in that area of the country to be an expert.

I have a ADCO 52242 Designer Series SFS Aqua Shed, can I cover the trailer when it’s still wet and cold outside?
I would ask the manufacture of the cover. Do not know enough about the manufacture
Do you have a link to a proper cover for a 2021 Outback 328RL?
No they sell them by size
Call our parts department they can let you know what will fit that 1-800-232-3279

Sounds like it was not a breathable cover

Yes to keep rain and snow off but make sure it has sides if your goal is uv protection. If not let it roll

Can u please move in next door to me?
Depends is it closer to work or closer to the beach? Might be able to work something out
Never understood why people pay high price for camper and say screw the cover✌🇺🇸
I agree. They are cheap compared to the cost of the RV itself
