looking back at this documentary rn and omg i'm so sorry about the audio 😭several ppl have brought up how the music is too loud and my voice is too quiet and i'm definitely gonna fix that in the next one!! aaah i understand how annoying it is and i feel really bad XD
SSO seems to avoid alot of the older creepy stuff which saddens me. The old dark vibes SSO used to give was peak uniqueness and character. They always focus now on unicorns and fairies and light. I miss the mystery, the dark, the edge. If sso knew what was good for their game overall, they would bring back these things, the castle being a great example.
True. trouble is, they market to young kids so much that those things wouldn't be viable. I'd like it if maybe they did the original story and main quest as a separate game, which could be labelled '15' and really go for it - and leave the online one as an MMORPG where you could still do all the side quests and some of the main ones maybe and they could go for all the sweetness and light there. I love the main storyline and I'm gutted that they tone it down and seem to have so much left to do before it's complete.
I used to log onto star stable with so much excitement, wondering what mysteries I’d uncovered, what adventures I’d go on, what incredible thing I’d experience that cant be found in real life. Now I avoid it because every time I log on, I just wonder what parts of my childhood have been shredded away to be replaced by the glittery girly boring game it is now. :(
It was such an incredible, incredible game. I literally can’t even imagine something comparable to the way it was. Now its all been wasted ❤️🩹
I believe mr Sands lives in the Marchenghast Castle and it's the equivalent of the Pine Hills mansion where he originally lived in.
Based on the mentions in dialogue, I presume it does have a very large stable within, which is a cool idea. I never even realized they mentioned Marchenghast in that much detail during the Jorvik Gazette quests!
Nice video! But I have to recommend adjusting the sound levels, the music is very loud compared to your speech which also changes in the middle of the video 🤔

I loved this vid I've been intrigued by this castle since I saw it and I really hope star stable does something with this gorgeous place soon.
Marchenghast isn't the same era as the ancient kings old castle. I think that like many old things in the game, the new team decided to not keep the possible stories. I noticed that they tend to do that, especially to get rid of everything slightly creepy. Old kings was more medieval, and evoked the darker times of Jorvik, was possibly related to the witches of the now abandoned scarecrow hill race, and maybe an incoming storyline but we'll never see it sadly.

7:30, Eleanor Nightwalker has this theory about the Buttergood family being vampires, so go check it out if your interested in learning more, SSO also hinted it. Could it mean that the Winterwells are werewolf's or spellcasters? Eleanor Nightwalker mentioned the Winterwells possibly being werewolf's in one of her other videos? I personally think there Spellcasters or Wizards, because Ricky Winterwells Jor- Jitsu battle? Sorry if this doesn't make sense I though I would add it on, because of the strange " werewolf like" noises.
Eleanor Nightwalker's channel is ace! And I think the game is giving a lot of hints that the Buttergoods are vampires - there was a recent mainline quest where the main character and Linda go to the Buttergoods and there's a bit about how the senior Buttergood never gets up in daylight, etc etc - and a dodgy invite to dinner from Scott. I love that Scott is so into the paranormal while actually being paranormal himself! LOL
I have a suggestion, you could do a documentary on the so called bread island or the other pards of the map that hasnt been released yet

Really enjoyed your documentary! I forgot we got all this info about Marchengast castle. Interesting theories, I feel sso intended quite a dark story for this castle at first. I didn't even remember the lights there being on at night. Perhaps a dark influential family in Jorvik doing black magic that got out of hand. Maybe they summoned a demon which is still there bound to the castle, still howling. I think this would be a complete new storyline and that most Jorvik citizens have forgotten about Marchengast castle. Perhaps some still have knowledge of legends or stories from there, Herman probably. Could be a great story with a lot of twists. Something seemingly innocent luring us in, asking for help, turning out to be evil after all. Something else actually innocent still trapped which we actually would need to save. Having to do a ritual to send the demon back and close the portal, which is very dangerous. No proof or whatsoever, this is just the story that pops into my head when I think about Marchengast castle.

And yeah a new storyline could definitely be the case; SSO did release a main story quest called “The Beginning of the End” pretty recently, so maybe after this storyline a new one will be introduced that involves Marchenghast? Idk but it’s interesting to think about

Just to make sure the castle is still not unlocked yet? No quest for it? Also another quest regarding the main story line. After alex gets taken by druids after trying to find a new house for anne what quest to you have to do to unlock the next main quest? I can’t seem to figure out which and is driving me nuts lol
