Okay, I did it and thank you for your tutorial. But I need clarification on why you checked Bridged under Network Adapter->Network connection. Once I followed this, I had no internet connection then. I had to check NAT to get connected.
*In bridged mode, the VM essentially becomes a full-fledged member of the existing physical network to which your host computer is connected. *It gets its own unique IP address on the same subnet as your host machine. *This mode allows the VM to directly communicate with other devices on the network, and vice versa. *If your host machine has internet access, the VM should also have internet access in bridged mode.
When to use NAT: *If you want the VM to have internet access but don't necessarily need it to be directly accessible from other devices on the network. *Useful for scenarios where the VM needs internet connectivity but doesn't need a separate IP address on the local network.
@@TechSolutionz Thank you for your comments. I checked again on the Bridged connected option and still no access to the Internet. The same thing happens to my other OSs being on VM. Is there something wrong with my VM?
No. If you want to be very safe, snapshot your Win7 setup after it's finished. You can always go back to that snapshot if you think something evil happened. Make a snapshot after every major thing you install, just to be safe. Then you can go back in time to any of those save points.
