When you clean a place in the head with iron brush remember, that small piece of brush could be dropped inside the liner

Excellent video. Would you happen to have a recommendation for a good substitute for the seal lock grip on the upper o rings?
The next best alternative would be the CAT antisieze that caterpillar recommends.
Why can’t you use the 609 loc tire on top and bottom?
On a c13 do you have to remove the cylinder head
Can you use the loctite 620 for the top o-rings?
No it is only used at the bottom of the cup we’re it seats to the head

So why is labor for this job over $2000 parts are cheap loaner is expensive how many hours is this job in a truck from start to finish thanks for the knowledge
Good question. Typically diesel mechanics charge 9to13 hours labor depending on the truck application. The good news is, the job can be done without having to remove the cylinder head. On the C15, the work begins one the cups and installed. Injectors have to be cleaned and resealed. A complete valve adjustment has to be done and then injectors and jakes adjusted as well. Once the engine is running, the cooling system has to be flushed several times before filling with coolant. Typically there are coolant hoses that need to be change as well from fuel in cooling system. Also the fuel tanks have to be drained and filled with clean fuel. Then new fuel filters have to be installed. Usually when you have a injector cup failure, coolant goes in fuel system and also fuel goes in cooling system. We hopes this explains your question. I'm trying to do the same job and it looked like it's doing it to you too. That top o ring is getting cut a little bit going in. I got one that didn't but so far the rest are.. I really don't like the idea of leaving it in there like that.
Make sure you put a little grease on the o-ring
