Excellent video, I worked CSPD for 20 years. It's a part of the hospital no one every hear about. Some time it's very demanding, and also very rewarding. You must be able to pay attention to details. The instruments will be used on a patient, inside their body. I feel the salary is to low, since certification is now required.

Not to sound sexist or anything, but is this a job where they will also hire men. I had applied for many jobs where I then noticed they want girls over boys.

Really...I not sure where you are but the are such in need they take anybody. But men do lean more on the vendor side. Example working for Stryker (they do require to have a degree)

@@RatfromNadeaust All the instruments use are not own by the hospital or are specialty instruments. They are provided by the manufacturer and then are loaned to the hospital. We process them for surgery. We call them vendor sets. Because we only process them vendor reps such as Stryker, Nuvasive and other companies are responsible for them and assist in the surgery for surgeon support. If you have a degree you can work just with the vendor company. You don't clean or Sterile the sets, they come in and reset them and monitor the set for that hospital or region.
