    whats the pay compare like between private and NHS

    • @daniellowephysio
      @daniellowephysio  Před 11 měsíci +6

      The NHS pays £17.24 an hour as a band 6 physiotherapist, £16.73 as a band 5 (new physio). My private work charges £45 for 45 minutes, £55 for an hour. Hope this helps. I know some physios charge a lot more privately, upwards of £130 an hour!

    • @daniellowephysio
      @daniellowephysio  Před měsícem

      I only ever see one client at a time, normally a full day is anywhere between 7 and 13 patients, bear in mind some days are busier than others. Do you see these patients at the same time?

      @@daniellowephysio yes, just yesterday I had 4 patients for follow up and then I had to get a new evaluation started. So, I had the 4 patients needing to finish up their session. • @daniellowephysio
      @daniellowephysio  Před 2 měsíci +1

      A few reasons really. first was I wanted to get the experience in the NHS, and as long as I'm still learning, I'm happy. Secondly, I wanted to start my own clinic, but that requires money, so the NHS funds that at the moment, whilst the private clinic is building up.
