Why aren’t you telling the whole truth…you need to actually study 24months to be a nursing associate…People don’t just wake up and apply for this job. Please be advised
Exactly. And you need to already be working in a job role with registered nurses in order allow work based supervision, before you can even enroll into the programme. That is if your employer even signs you off
To who ever is reading this, I hope that everything has been well. Being a Health care or social care worker is not easy, you have to really take care of others and make sure that you're taking care of your self as well (including mentally/emotionally- very important). Its never something to be taken lightly because it requires PROPER commitment (just being a cleaner in a health care setting/place can be difficult enough- i know from a bit of experience); you have to care for & about people in the gentle/ appropriate way that you'd want peope to care for you/ your loved ones presently and in the Future. Sometimes 'higher up' managers won't let you care for people in the way that you'd like but if you are passionate about Caring, supporting and Actually making good change then its the job/role for you. Much respect to any one who is a health care/ social care worker and who is doing the job properly & with much care.
Because care assistance jobs requires a year of formal training so a person can’t just apply for a Nursing associate role. It is a University program therefore individuals will require at least one year of care experience, English language requirement and a managers approval because you will need to practice while pursuing this program. No formal training is required for a care assistance job. So people are applying because rent, bills and children needs to be fed and people don’t have the luxury of one year experience in the UK to qualify for this. Until then people will do what they have to do. Respectfully
She thinks everyone is qualified to do nursing associates. A lady as smart as her doesn't even realise that care assistant is more direct and easier to get employment without all the fuss.
Most of these content creators don’t think before they push out junks thinking they are passing information. As if we don’t know that such program exists. It would have make much sense if she inform carers how to upgrade themselves to Nursing assistance instead of asking why? they are applying for jobs they can easily get😅
I agree. Those roles are abundant in certain sectors though, like finance, tech, banking etc The confidence required is high too. But it’s absolutely possible.
With Care Assistant jobs you can be on your own doing your care assistant job. But with with Nurse Assistant you'll be at the beck & call of nurses and there's a higher tendency to be depressed narcissists who are job seeking to convince themselves of their own self worth. Superiority complex amd inferiority complex is an issue...and some people will use you to feed their energies. The depression is real.
Nursing Associate is a regulated professional role, hence you need the specialised specific university acquired knowledge, skills and behaviours for this role. After the qualifying, they are known as Registered Nursing Associates. One needs to attend university for 2years for this qualification. The training is very similar to the 3 year nursing qualification, except that certain modules such as leadership are not available for the nursing associate program. The qualification is a foundation degree. One can top up afterwards with 18months to the registered nurse program.

I'm a band 7 and it's not right to say nursing associate is far better than health care assistant. In the hospital setting, everyone role is important, and you need to start from somewhere. I'm most trust ,health care assistant standards, and a better chance of becoming a nursing associate due to the experience they've gotten. In my trust , If you've not worked as a health care assistant you can not become a nursing associate. A bit more research could have been done before making the video 😊
