    With some of our latest shorts showing a fuel pump issue that required repair, there were lots of great comments, questions, and items that could use some more detail. So here's a long form video showing a bit more of this car, talking Marauder history, and why we focused on what we did during the fix!

    I own trilogy marauder #211 . 12lbs of boost since 75k miles and it sits at 130k now and running strong as ever. P.s. 438rwhp and 420rwtq

      Thanks! And your car is one of those I idolize - it's a top notch build. Been quite a journey with the Marauders

    200k plus? Yes....and ...no. My '04, that I bought new in November of '03 (bone stock by the way) had 217k on it and then a timing chain guide broke, went into the oil pan, then sucked into the pickup tube robbing the motor of oil. Long story short, the motor had to be overhauled. Tough, really tough getting some parts 20 years later. Now just trying to get the coolant crossover tube repaired, which you haven't been able get for years either from Ford or aftermarket. I've been without it since the middle of March. Still waiting to get it back. I sure miss it.

    Marty Ochs Mo's speed shop tuned mine. I have a procharger p1sc that's intercooled. Fuel pump wise I am using the aeromotive 11542, it's in tank 340lph and I'm also using the boost a pump. Keep your boost a pump and get yourself this pump.

  • @4doorstang724
    @4doorstang724 Před rokem +1

    I run an Aeromotive Stealth 340 In-Tank Electric Fuel Pump and it easily supports 450 rwhp and 409 rwtq from my vortech (air/water IC) equipped 2004 Marauder (with over 60k blown miles). Simple and reliable system and the pumps are less than $200. Just use a filter that flows more than the stock fuel filter.
    Mines not as fast as Mike's (comment below) I'm sure, but consistent 12.3s makes it an enjoyable daily driver and semi-sleeper.
    Enjoy. These are rare, comfortable, fun cars.

      Awesome! Great to know on the Aeromotive pump. I'll check that out especially as a means to ditch the boost a pump

    Not to be bias but i find it interesting some call the marauder slow but others cars with lower horsepower or same aren't

    • @Photog455
      @Photog455 Před 3 dny

      I think they are referring to low end torque or off-the-line power.

    Many many marauders with well over 200k. I know of one with 400k closer to 500k and looks new.

    Like to see a forged marauder with a gen3r vmp on it with 3.73 gear and stalled 6r80. That would be a badass ride street or track

    Excellent Video!! Where do I find a Trilogy S/C kit now?

    • @VortexGarage
      @VortexGarage  Před 11 měsíci

      There were just over 200 kits made, and they've been out of production for many years. At this rate your best bet is MercuryMarauder.net, or facebook groups to include MercuryMarauder.net on facebook and there's a few Marauder swap meet pages. I've seen one or two Trilogy kits go for sale in the last year or so. And of course occassionally a trilogy car will go on sale.

    Do you experience any belt slip on the supercharger with the setup? I know 03-04 Cobra’s use a pulley bridge to enhance belt wrap to avoid slipping

    • @VortexGarage
      @VortexGarage  Před rokem +1

      None on the stock Trilogy setup at least. With the standard pulley never had any belt slip. Others with small pulley setups may have but I've not on this setup. 👍

    I have an 04 and my oil gauge is fluctuating from 0 to about 65 70 but when I’m at a stop light it’s just sitting at 0 what can that be?? Also no lights on dash showing if it’s bad or something I’m thinking oil pressure sensor?

    • @VortexGarage
      @VortexGarage  Před 10 měsíci

      I would imagine the sender. Do you know if it's still the stock gauge and sending unit? From Ford the oil pressure gauge was basically an on/off switch. It would always show steady pressure. Ford was concerned that owners would see how low the idle oil pressure is and bring their cars in when in reality that is normal.
      Many Marauder owners swapped to a real autometer gauge and sender. I can tell you those senders are not very reliable.
      So I think you're one the right track either way. If you really had zero oil pressure you'd hear the timing chains rattling and well even worse if it was really zero. Always can validate with a mechanical gauge in the shop but again I suspect you are on the right track suspecting the sender if the car is otherwise running well.

    So that MM is supercharged on stock internals? I'm rebuilding my engine... was thinking of forged parts but expensive for a car I won't race and will keep NA.

      If you're rebuilding be crazy not to at least do gen 2 coyote rods at minimum.

    I hve one i want to put the blowerr off s terminator on mine .any suggestions?

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před 11 měsíci +2

      It's easy to do just get a cobra lower manifold with built in intercooler and throw it on. Then if you ever build the motor you can run any modern blower they make for terminators (gen3r)

    • @VortexGarage
      @VortexGarage  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yep, as midnight347 said, many folks have done that and it's getting more common. Main thing is the terminator intake is on the other side as the Marauder so gotta relocate the battery, but there's plenty of resources on how others have done it. MercuryMarauder.net is a good resource
