In today’s video, I get to do a walk-around and a review of my friends AJ's 2004 Mercury Marauder.We're not hiding anything and showing everything! This '04 Marauder is super clean and supercharged. AJ ended up doing the supercharger swap on his own in his driveway to give this panther its 400 wheel horsepower. AJ has owned 4 other panthers in his lifetime, including another Marauder, a Grand Marquis and 2 Ford Crown Victoria Sport LX. AJ lets us in on his Panther and the story of how he acquired the car. That's a clean Eaton swap. I have seen enough to know the last 15% of the install is usually mad dash to Home Depot. Yours has high attention to detail! I also have a 2004 I've had for 19 years. I bought mine a year old with 14K on the clock. Today she has 56K and is my garaged baby. Mine is a 2004 Silver Birch with light flint and a sunroof. I was a rep for JL Audio so there's a full custom buildout trunk and lots of sound and security goodies.
I just spent the last 2 years acquiring everything for my Eaton Swap. I asked Jerry nicely if he'd squirt out a Trilogy #251 and that was a negative. My installation will be as true-to-stock appearing as possible with the exception of the belt guard and colors. Appearance-wise my blower will be matte silver and the cam covers are Ford blue (think Ford GT). I have not pinched pennies anywhere and all the hardware/clamps are Motorcraft. Every single Ford part available has been patiently acquired either new or used. All other specific hardware is from McMaster-Carr. I already have billet control arms, 4.10 gears, big brake kit and pretty much entirely too much to list.
The last time I saw a compilation list was when Hagerty required it for coverage.

I have an 02 Spruce Green Vic LX HPP P74. Technically not a LX Sport because is has the Column shift. Stock 3.27 gears. She runs awesome and has very good passing power on the highway. New valve cover gaskets and timing chain have been the only repairs worth mentioning. I did have some exhaust leak issues dealt with. Deleted resonators and slapped some Flowmaster Super 44s on her along with K&N intake. 220K miles and still going stong. I love the lacy spoke wheels that came on my particular car. Would like to replace the rear air suspension but for a cheap fix i threw the spring conversion kit on there. Very reliable car that i am proud to own. Nice Mercury you have there. I would love to upgrade mine to that level some day. Thanks for sharing. 💙

Don't get me wrong, I like the Marauder but I always have thought that the rear bumper cover looks like an afterthought. I suppose I could change that if I ever got one with one from a P-71.
How was it an afterthought when new edge mustangs have it first and it was a great idea. If you put a crown Vic bumper on people are going to think you have a clone.
@@WretchedMarauder And of course somebody had to get me wrong even after I said don't get me wrong. I'd like to point out the fact that some people mistake my P-71 for a Marauder. So much for your clone theory.
@@j.t.cooper2963 lol only people who mistake your p71 for a marauder unless you got the wheels spoiler or front end are the people who know nothing about these cars. I have a 03 sort of clone p71 and I have a real marauder. So I know what you mean.

How much you pay for the entire Eaton kit?
I’m hoping the owner AJ gets in here to answer some of these questions.
An Eaton swap will require a lot of patience and resources as the parts are unavailable new and VERY expensive in usable condition. Most OE parts can be found on eBay used. The parts that are not available will need to be hunted down online and on forums. Or hand made. As far as cost - this can be done between 3500 - 5000 bucks now.
