After a few months of training indoors or in mostly windy conditions I'm starting to feel like RAGBRAI 2022 isn't going to be as hard and scary as a 462 mile bike ride might sound.

Any tips for registering for 2023? It will be my first RAGBRAI and I'm excited!!

They usually don’t open registration until the first few months of the year. It’s pretty straightforward, but if you’re thinking about getting a team together have a team name ready to put on the form. I would also say since it’s the 50th anniversary to register sooner rather than later. There has been talk about capping the number of officially registered riders. This year we had around 18,000. Once the dates are announced and you’re registered I’d look at booking travel to Iowa leaving a few days cushioning to make sure you’re here even if there are delays.

Are you from Klemme? Or just riding through Klemme?

I’m from Kanawha and live in Clear Lake now. I was just riding through because I know the area and I ride through for training about once a week.

@@DBTRVL Ahhh ok! Was just curious. My mom and her side of the family is from Klemme. I'm in AZ.... Klemme is going to be the highlite of Ragbrai for me. I'm familiar with Garner, Britt, Ventura, Clear Lake, Belmont and MC. Good luck with the training and hope to see you on Ragbrai.
