There's one thing, no one mentions how someone gets back to the starting point if that's where you left your vehicle.
The most important thing. Getting back with your bike and camping gear.
I didnât have the need to do that, but I believe they have a shuttle that can be signed up for beforehand that will take you back to the start.
There's busses. Kara and Nate took one on their go.
We did that water slide! Great drone footage of it! Like the video. Was our first year and what an adventure.

If I get my timing right, I'll be there for 2023's 50th ride, coming in from CA on my way to NYC on my "Ride Till I Die!" around-the-world trip.
This is also my first attempt at traveling by bicycle, all in memory of my lovely wife who I lost in 2021.
Loved your commentary, the drone shots (taking a Mavic Mini 2 with me) and info! I'll be packing every night, not using travel services, of course. Everything I need is on the bike!

I too used to live in Iowa City. I am a Hawkeye. What I really miss in Iowa is that I did not have guts to join the ride. Now I am in my home country and I really miss it!

Great video! My wife and I just registered for our first Ragbrai. Excited for Ragbrai L! As far as the Strava app goes, you can turn the automatic pause function off. I recently changed it for my runs.

Thank you! I am hoping to get it done in October or early November. Iâm currently walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain and itâs not possible to edit between hiking all day and dorm life at night.

I have not been able to edit and release it yet because I am currently walking the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. Unfortunately, it may not be done until Nov. Iâm sorry itâs taking so long, but I want to do it right and trying to edit between long day hikes and dorm life at night donât make it possible currently.

Probably mid May đ. Iâm hiking in Nepal at the moment and wonât be back until early May.
Iâve just been prioritizing enjoying my travels rather than rushing to edit videos.

where is part 2?
I was just wondering about people who don't register for the ride. It seems easy to just jump right in and act like you paid. How do they prevent that? If it's wristbands that can just be printed out like here in Austin with the SXSW music festival where there were a lot of fake wristbands.
They have plastic wristbands and a bike band your registration number on them. They also give you a RAGBRAI plastic license plate to put on the bike. People do just ride as pirates, but the bands give you access to ragbrai campgrounds, Sag Wagon (pickup on the route if you canât complete the daily ride), and other conveniences throughout the week.

Not yet. I have addressed it in other replies. Short version: Iâm walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain currently. I want to make it the best I can so Iâm waiting until I the time again.
