Been playing grapplers for almost 2 decades and I never knew you could start from back and do the input in reverse like that. Very cool info
Thank you ❤️🙏
@@JoystickNY how to do Hadouken and Shoryuken properly?the move always mix together!i can,t use sagat, ken, and ryu properly!😢😢😢 can you show how to spin out the move?
Check out my stick tutorial ❤️
Hey dude, i've been getting into streetfighter lately. I'm in love with zangief.
But i only play world champion and alpha 2. I noticed that my inputs on alpha 2 are more consistent than in world champion. Is there a difference in the input window to do them properly?
I also played sfV at the arcade, my inputs are 90% more consistent than compared to when i use the dpad.
Could you help me learn how to practice spd on dpad too
@@gfxb3177 hey man idk if you meant to reply to me but if you're asking if alpha 2 has more lenient inputs than the og sf2 and sf2ce than yea it does that's normal. Basically the more modern the sf game is the easier it is to do special moves. And I don't have a link for you bc CZcams doesn't let us do that but if you search for something like a "combo trails with zangief pad tutorial" or "all combo trials for zangief" for sf4 or sfv there's tons of good videos of people showing hand cams and all that. Ik you mentioned you play older sf games but I don't know if any specific alpha 2 or sf2 players made good guides so I would look for some of those too but for now hopefully that wall of text can at least help a bit.
Dude you don't post very often, but when you do you post quality content. We appreciate you
Thank you so much; you have good observation 😉, i work a full time job, 5 days a week; on my days off i like to make video little by little, someday hopefully this channel can turn in to a good resource for the community 🙏❤️
This and the charge character on dpad videos are more of what fighting games need covered. Genuinely helpful and I can actually enjoy playing Vega/Hugo on pad without counting the days for a replacement stick. Amazing work.
Thank you for the support 🙏❤️
OMG thank you so much, grapple characters here I come
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏
I know right. 👍🏾
How did that go?

Very creative solution to film yourself and the stick at the same time with the tablet. I always appreciate the little visual elements you add that make your videos more easy to understand and pop. It's just that little bit of extra effort that blows my mind. You went as far as change your ball top to red to make the lever more visable, had a visual diagram prepared to show the math, loaded up a ton of games to show examples, and even put a little gief on the mic and on the pad. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep an eye out for the little details.
Thank you for noticing 🤣 i am constantly learning too, video making is very interesting 🙏❤️ and i try to make the best content that i can with what i know. & you totally read my mind on the red ball top, it used to be black, and i changed it to red to make it more visible, it is through video making and time that i pick up on some these things, becuz something there is many things to manage and my mind cant keep track of every detail 😊
As you can imagine, I play grapplers, a large number of them. All of them, even. It's the only 2d archtype I enjoy. I never knew about the 225 trick for SFV/USF4, I always go for the 270.
I like the deliberate motions you use as well, all too often we fgc people try to APS our way through life, you remind us that things can be slow if well coordinated. Beyond excellent visual aids as well, and good use of your equipment. I hope more players find this and the charge character video.
Thank you so much for the kind words, i try to use what i have, because a full setup is expensive and i still have to learn the capture card things, alot to learn ❤️🙏
same never knew about 225... 270 was shortcut... now i need to re-train this cool idea! maybe now I dont get accidental jumps
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏
@@JoystickNY Do you have to learn how to use a capture card? Are you able to play all of these games on PC or with an emulator? However, even without a real video overlay your tutorials and visuals are still excellent!
As for now, i dont have a capture card yet, i have 2 coworkers that streams on twitch, they always tell me about it 🤣. I havent look into it yet, and i dont have all the games on 1 place, some on xbox, ps4 and pc emulators, i wish it they were on 1 platform, probably be easier 🙏❤️ thank you for your support
Subscribed fast as hell. In all my years I've never seen someone make Zangief look so much simpler to use.
Thank you so much for your support 🙏❤️
Thank you for dropping by❤️🙏
Always wondered how people were pulling off SPDs from standing or walk up. Now I know.
And knowing is half the battle.
Yup, thank you for watching ❤️🙏
GGGG IIII
*JOOOOOOOE*
👍🕹🤣
And half the 720 lmao
This has helped me out so freaking much. I’ve started to play as Zangief and was having a hard time with his pile driver and Russian suplex. Now I’m having a much easier time landing those moves. 😃
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️ happy to hear it works 😊
Man as a MK player and a newcomer to SF, Figuring out how to pull off a zangief SPD on a pad was killing me then i found your video !! Thanks man
The video instruction and structure is perfect: immediate application -> general tips -> intermediate application -> advanced application. helping gauge what people will get out of it while explaining even further uses seamlessly is very hard. Awesome
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏❤️
Great video, as always! As I said in a previous comment, you're always helping me!! Thanks!!
I am happy to hear that, keeps me going for sure ❤️🙏 thank you, more to come
i just discovered this video today.
recently i started using zangief in both sf2 and mvc2.
the 360 is by far the thing that gave me the most problems.
but now i know it can be 270 and still works.
left you a like and commented, so hopefully you will gain more notoriety. this was very well explained, and very useful.
Really appreciate you 🙏❤️
This guide is far better than I ever would have thought, thank you!
I am happy to hear the videos helps, thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Wow this is great, grapplers are the only ones I have problems playing with. Thanks to you I can do “full 360” inputs we’ll know. I still have problems with double 360 motions though.
Really nice tutorial, really clear visuals and nice explanantions and tips :)
I didn't knew some games allowed you to do 225° instead of 270°
Sorry for the late reply, somehow youtube never send me a notification on this comment. thank you 🙏❤️
Took my super turbo Zangief to the next level! Thank you.
Thank you 😊 happy it helped 🙏❤️
Best teacher that I’ve seen for this stuff. Thank you, sir.
Appreciate you
i have not ever until NOW learned how to do this . thanks to you! Many thanks! your chinglish is awesome too
I am happy to hear the videos helps, thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I always struggled with 360 inputs ! I never knew about 225 trick ! Thanks man awesome stuff 🙂
Anytime friend ❤️
I put down SF5 because I was in a Classic Grappler phase of fighting games, but couldn't play the Gief due to grounded 360s on Keyboard being nightmares. I may very well pick up the game again after this piece of advice. This video was downright legendary!
Thank you so much, i used to play keyboard alot too in the emu days, but i can tell you stick makes everything easier, and more enjoyable, certain things are very easy on kb, but some are really hard due to the nature of the keyboard, where as stick is easier a cross all games 🙏❤️
My brother, this is LIFE SAVING.
Bless you for this guide. 🙏
Appreciate you
I saw this video in my recommended and clicked. I never knew this. Thanks for this info and have a good day. Subscribed and liked.
Thank you so much for the love and support ❤️🙏
this is what i needed to see. jeez thanks. insanely useful, and practical video. 3
I know I’m late but THANK YOU for this. I thought I was doing something wrong because he kept jumping. Can’t wait to practice this
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
This video is so well made! ❤ Clear and concise.
Appreciate you
Man, I wish Ive learned this 25 years ago
Is never too late 😉👍🕹
I haven't even seen any of your other videos yet. But the clarity, the depth of your explanations are more than enough reason for me to sub. Really really well done. I hope you do a tutorial for the 720 input as well.
Really appreciate the support
great tutorial. This made it so much easier, and it does take out any extra inputs i was attempting. Thank you
Thank you
I just bought a new qanba fight stick and I bought Capcom fighting collection thank you for the tip and I plan to use zangeif if he is in SF6
I remember playing SF2 in the arcades in the '90s. The only way I could do a walkup SPD was to manhandle the stick in the motion demonstrated in this video, but as fast as I could. It was a quick-snap motion. My hand would hurt after too many Gief matches and I probably looked a little spastic doing it.
Here I am 25 years later and seeing you casually pull it off and I'm like man, that looks smooth and poetic compared to how I used to do it lol
I'm guessing the animation of the step forward/backward gives you enough frames to push the stick upwards a bit w/o triggering a jump. Regardless, thx for the video. Not sure why it randomly appeared in my feed, but it brought back good memories :)
Thank you for sharing 🙏❤️ your comment definitely trigger my memories in the arcade, the good old days, someday if i have the funds, i want to open an arcade
I've known about the 270 for awhile now and have been doing that since 3rd Strike, but 225 definitely makes it easier and safe jump backwards on failure. The tip to train while walking cuts out the bad habit of always relyjng on buffering which ive always been doing.
Also, your tip #2 is by far the best tip i have seen on any guide on SPD. The exrtra step forward on coverage makes a HUGE difference in ground coverage.
I look forward to your next videos, they have been massively helpful
Appreciate the support
Thanks for the amazing video, SFIII Hugo, here i go!
Thank you so much 🙏❤️
omg someone give this man a medal. thank you, always wondered how ppl did that without jumping or moving
Appreciate the love and support 🙏❤️
Thank you for this video I'm have been struggling to learn Zangief and I will be starting to do this training hopping that I learn
Glad it was helpful ♥️
I never thought to go 225. I always thought to move around 360, you have made me change my mind.
Thank you for watching , happy to hear it help 🙏❤️

Thank you 🙏❤️ i try to make as much as i can on my days off, i love creating and teaching games
This helped so much!! A banger tip every minute of thus video
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Amazingly informative, and your explanations are so simple. Subscribed.
Thank you so much ❤️🙏
That set up with the mini screens was pretty slick. Very stylish
Thank you, my poor mans set up 🙏
@@JoystickNY it honestly looks more genuine and I prefer the poor man’s setup over someone video editing the separate screens into one shot
225 degrees instead of a full 360?!? I've been living a lie my entire life!! Thank you for showing me the light!!
I’ve been a fan of Zangief ever since I first played Street Fighter 2 aallllll those years ago and have followed and played SF ever since. There are times I don’t play the game for a while and I lose the ability to get the 360 movement sometimes. It’s not just like riding a bike, I think. This video is awesome man. It’ll help. Thank you.
Happy to help 🙏 more to come 🕹❤️
@@JoystickNY this is so important to because sodom from alpha series and Leo from capcom fight evolution use this movement as well and I play those characters quite a bit
I was pleasantly surprised to see 225 work in Ultra Street Fighter II on the Switch.
First time I discovered the 225 was back in Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha!
Thank you for sharing, appreciate you 🙏❤️
Love all the content you do and can’t wait for more I did watch your videos are charge characters and made want to learn/play them more also grapplers as well
Still trying to learn the arcade stick but these videos have helped so much and using the green highlight for the joystick motion is a great idea and also useful to players like me to see
Happy to help , more to come in the future 🙏❤️
thank you so much this is one of the best video's i seen in a long time, subbed and belled :) :)
Thank you, appreciate the support
I just got a mayflash f300 too so this will be alot of fun to try thank you. You just earned a sub from me sir.
Thank you for the support ❤️🙏
Your channel is amazing! Extremely helpful. Thank you very much! Liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much for the support ❤️🙏
Thanks man for the video!👍,now i will play with Zangief in street fighter 2 and alpha 3😁,greetings from Puerto Rico.
Thank you ❤️🙏
Fantastic guide, thank you!
Thank you for dropping by ❤️🙏
Learning how to do the spd was the only thing stopping me from playing Gief and now I do it like a boss. Thanks man. I love your vids keep them coming. Can you do a video on air spd. I suck at that.
Glad the video helped 😊👍 For Air spd; i do have a video on that, but kinda down in the list, basically do the same 225, but delay the button press, that should give u a air spd . Might need to work on the timing. And u have to start with back and the same 225 degree but delay the punch, let me know if it works if not, then wait for my video down the road 🙏❤️
Also, when you delAy the punch; u are basically pressing the punch kinda in the air. So u r completing the input after u jump
These videos are extremely good. Subscribed.
thank you for the support 🙏❤️
Thanks for tutorial zangief 😊❤
Great tutorial man. This is so easy. Thank you
I am happy to hear the videos helps, thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Nice! As a kid I could rarely get this input but had no issues with quarter circle. I play pad. I kinda fell out of fighting games for many years but Street Fighter 6 has me excited to jump back in. My motion input will be rusty lol. Really looking forward to try Chun-li since she has her Tensho back and it’s not a charge. She looks so fun … a lot of characters look fun too. I hope you do videos when it comes out because man your quality is fantastic!
Thank you so much for the support, i will continue to make more videos
my mouth was open for half the video because I had absolutely no idea you could do this. i was wondering why some players were able to do standing command grab, seemingly at will. thank you for this
Happy to share and help 🙏❤️ thank you for watching
the use of the external monitor to show your face was very creative
Thank you 🙏❤️ it was an old ipad laying around at home, i figure i use it lol. I want to use it more, sometimes
The angle doesnt fit and not enough room on the table
Been waiting for this video !!
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Great tutorial; thanks for making it!
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I can 360 spd. But this video gave me the answer on how to air spd after a crush counter, thank you.
I am happy to hear the videos helps, thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Thanks brother I have learned a lot from ur videos
Thank you so much, happy to help 🙏❤️
Brilliant thank you for this!
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏
Amazing Video! Very useful information.
Thank you ❤️
I am just a spectator of fighting games, the how-to information for SPD is presented well.
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I have a red ball top on my hori as well ... lol ... Great video.
Thank you 🙏❤️ i always had a black one during my video, i figure a red one is easier on the eye
So helpful!!!! Thx very much!!!!
Thank you 🙏❤️ happy to help
Great video! Very informative!!
Thank you
Super clear 👍👍
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Love your street fighter videos ❤️
Thank you for the support ❤️🙏
As Always thanks you for completing thé game Real tutorial ☺️
Thank you for the support ❤️🙏
Great video! World Heroes' Muscle Power got me into playing grapplers back in 93. I've always find the 360°/270° inputs more satisfying to pull off on arcade sticks. It was the 'tracing the gate of the lever' or half circle then (straight) up trick that always worked for me. But I get ridiculously frustrated when I try to pull off Raging Storm motions, and a few other notoriously hard motion inputs that SNK programmed for s**ts & giggles.
The older classic games were harder and require more strict inputs too, Thank you for sharing ❤️🙏
@@JoystickNY No problem, bro!
Awesome vid man! I can't wait to lab this. I've never played grapple characters due to the input barrier. I found the jump method and tried the dash method but after about 2 throws, my opponent would always know when I'm coming. But now! Heh, heh, heh let's check out championship edition Zangief again! I think there's gonna be some salty slams going down!
Surprise them lol, tick throw , tick 360 on them 🙏❤️ enjoy friend
@@JoystickNY heh heh I did! My best friend came over for our weekly couch session and he was so mad! 😂🤣 He uses a pad and I'm on a stick so normally he can't combo or do anything super quick and he just had no way to get outta those command throws! Thanks, Joystick NY, you're the man!!! I'VE upped my game exponentially since subbing to your channel. You definitively deserve more subs and views.
Thank you 🙏❤️ really happy to hear the videos are helping players grow, more videos to come 😊
@@JoystickNY Right on brother! Actually you inspired me to start my own channel, eh, someday soon. Right now I'm just gathering equipment but fingers crossed that by Christmas I'll put up my first video! Thanks a ton and maybe we'll collab one day😂. (Wishful thinking I know, but a boi can dream!) But I'll always site King Joystick as my inspiration. I've told all my friends that play fighters about you, so hopefully you got a couple new subs lol!
Thats awesome 🔥 go for it, the community needs more content creators, if you ever have questions, txt me in ig or twitter or fb, i am kinda new and learning too, but i ll answer them the best i can 👍
Cool video and great setup!
Thank you, so far it is my poor man’s set up; hopefully i can get to a more professional set up 🙏❤️
omg I started playing sfII since it was released in the arcade then I got it for snes and I never know you could do the spd with only a 270, thanks so much for this really great video it will be so much more easier now to play as grabbler characters, really strange though that when sfII first came to the arcade the move did not show a 3/4 circle on the cabinet instead of the full circle would of made it so much easier to do back then.
Thats a great point, thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I used to do the 360 when jumping, right before landing. Sniping 360 before It was cool :)
Yup, me too 😊Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Good tips. I would like to add two tips if I may:
1) If your opponent has just knocked you over and they are stupid enough to be standing close to you as you wake up then rise right up with a piledriver. It's one of the easiest and most low-risk opportunities!
2) On some editions of SF I have managed to pull off piledrivers after as little as a quarter circle motion - I kid you not. For example, I would accidentally get piledrivers when attempting to do the Banishing Flat.
Great tips, thank you for sharing
Amazing vídeo. Really helpful. I just wish you had a short entry about the 720s! Love your channel
I havent found it yet, when i do, i will make a video on it thank you for watching ❤️
great guide as always.
Thank you 🙏❤️
This was very helpful! Thank you
Thank you, happy to hear it was helpful ❤️🙏
Thanks, your videos are helpful
Thank you, ❤️🙏 i try 😂 hope to improve my video making skills over time to make them better
Great video, I will try
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏
This dude deserve a million subscriber.. ❤
Thank you for the kind words ❤️
I remembered watching Akira Oono from Hi Score Girl letting the stick go circa 270° to do a natural SPD. I thought it was an exaggeration.
With this now I know it is possible, even in pad.
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I always did it on the ground doing a "semi circle" with the joystick - forward, forward-down, down, back-down, back, and then forward and punch.
Amazing stuff right here!
thank you for the support 🙏❤️
This was very helpful!
Happy to help ❤️🙏
Thx for the tips.
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏
I don't know if this was mentioned, but a lot of fight sticks have what's called a square restrictor gate. It's basically a piece of plastic that sits around y our joystick. The square ones are just that, square. It makes 360 inputs a little difficult to get off, especially during a match when you're having to react. These are easy to switch out for what I suggest, a octagonal restrictor gate. This has 8 directional slots instead of the 4 that a square gate has. Makes for a MUCH smoother SPD. Be warned though, having those little extra notches make it much easier for mistake inputs to happen.
Thank you for sharing ♥️
There are many videos on this topic, but this is the best one.
I'm also interested in your setup, with the small screen on top of your fight stick. Is there a description of your setup anywhere?
Thanks a lot
I use the sticks on pad which is usually unorthodox but it just makes it so much easier to grapple
Thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Great video as always!
Thank you so much ❤️🙏
Subbed cause of this, thank you so much for this
Thank you for the support 🙏❤️
Wish you do one for the ultra so glad I found the channel
