This was a cute performance to look at. Season 3 was the first time I heard of American Idol, and to look back on this is kinda like looking at long-abandoned memory. I remember how the guys from this season were all eliminated (George Huff was the guy who managed to stay in the competition the longest), it goes to show that the girls in this season were stronger vocalists overall
One thing I like about Elton John was the HE KEPT IT REAL! He mentioned that it was NO WAY that Jennifer, Latoya and Fantasia should have been the bottom 3 that season. Those girls OWNED everyone else and were hands down the top 3 singers American Idol has EVER had. My favorite songs from each of them were "Signed Sealed Delivered " (fantasia) "Weekend in New England" (Jhudson) "All the time" Latoya London. I did enjoy George and Leah as well but they weren't quite on the level as the 3 divas!!
for me, this was a great season, all the talents were raw and unique, unlike today, where all the contestants are too planned, too prepared and too "showbiz", as in like there's nothing more to improve or develop. this is just an opnion..
Jennifer, Latoya, Fantasia and George showed out....on this season of american Idol...they WERE the show. It didnt make any sense of how they outsang the other contestants man every week. They were on a totally different level from the other contestants REGUARDLESS of who were the last ones standing. Jennifer left WAY too early and George should have been in the top 3
He probably couldn’t have chosen it as his solo performance song, if it was pre-determined for the group performance. Having said that, I do agree that for an Elton John theme week, Daniel would have been the perfect choice for John to sing himself. Though, for the reason I mentioned, he probably couldn’t have whether he wanted to or not. His Crocodile Rock performance was a train wreck - absolutely the wrong choice for him.
Wow. Haley Reinhart blew this group out of the water 7 years later in season 10 with Bennie and the Jets. This entire performance sounds SO karaoke. Jennifer Hudson's facial expressions are so over the top and distracting too LOL.
You mean Diana? She sang well, considering the circumstances. She (and Jasmine) had laryngitis & tonsillitis that week, so it’s hard to sing at your peak and belt those notes when you’re recovering from illness.
Aargh.. american idol producers, stop these group medleys! The dance moves are all so cringey, and the finalists voices are so different from one another that they just dont blend together. This medley was decent tho.. but i suggest checking out the group medley from the top 12 finalists (soul medley) a couple weeks prior to this one, that was a TRAINWRECK.

Besides Season 2, this was one of the better AI shows. They had a lot of talent. 4-8-2010
