- I was ready to get a Mandalorian Luke Skywalker on the shelf and while Bandai gave us a reasonable substitute with the latest S.H. Figuarts, it's not quite right. Fantastic figure but more Return of the Jedi than Mando.

@@tombowling8646 That's fine if you like the Sequel characters I won't tell you not to but like I said about Rey earlier. Don't overpay for the Sequel figuarts. They didn't do well and are very cheap on the aftermarket running you anywhere between $30-$50 depending on which character.

I love the Figuarts line, just wish they made more of them. This was a great review of an excellent figure, keep the star wars train going! Oh, and you were spot on regarding the robe, the bottom wire is a royal pain.

The BEST (non-custom) Luke head sculpt. I ran to the other room (cats and loud bang) and when I got back I thought it was a custom head and was waiting for the name so I could look up the page

Figuarts are a great looking line, too bad It's a bit out of my price range. Really hoping the pipeline Luke reveal for Black Series will have an updated body though.

I just wanted a post-ROtJ Luke and this works for me! The inaccuracies don't bother me a bit, but it's unfortunate they didn't make it more accurate for y'all wanting a proper Mando Luke, though.
Though I did want to give his right hand a skin-colored wrist joint, but looks like I'd have to buy another one to swap that out... Think I'll just have to learn how to live with it haha
I was initially stoked as all get out for this one until I saw that it was just RotJ Luke, but it overall does look pretty damn good. I'd very much like a more proper Mandalorian S2 style look, and I absolutely demand a Luke with Grogu on his back look, as well as the later look he had when he was giving Grogu the choice between the shirt and the saber....honestly, just give me all the Lukes, I want them all!

I was on the fence for this one. Now I’m placing the order on Amazon.
Got mine last week. That hood is really annoying, I agree. I like the figure, though. Very pose-able. Can't wait to get those Dark Troopers and pose them all together. The legs also feel a little loose, but the figure is so light it doesn't affect posing.

Great review. Were your human colored hands spotted black in some places? It's like a smudge was put on by mistake. I think I also noticed it in yours.
robo..nice review..I have this and love it..if you are wondering this is more in tune with his Mandalorian appearance which is close to ROTJ even the shiny boots, watch the episode again except the missing sash over the belt..They changed his outfit to a GI style in the BOBF episode..so I think there will be a BOBF version in the near future with grogu and a backpack
That head sculpt is incredible, the thumbnail surprised me because I don’t even think it looked that good in the promotional images!

I just bought this figure and I hate the cloak. Anybody know a company which custom designs Jedi capes?
Great review as always! Indeed this is not the Mandalorian Luke. In Mando he wears black crossed robes underneath the outer tunic.
And it seems most companies are committing the same mistake, including Sideshow and Iron Studios. For some reason, they're putting out detailed Mando Luke statues with the ROTJ shirt under the tunic, despite several reference pictures from Mando contradicting this choice...
I’m slightly relieved that I missed this guy since Hasbro is going to be releasing their own version soon, I don’t even mind if it is also more accurate to RotJ since this look is my favorite Luke. Plus I missed the Walmart exclusive Luke, like this figure they both seem to have a kind of hunch back look in certain poses so hopefully the next BS version doesn’t have that issue, but I know I can’t quit bandai.

Woohoo! I can finally open mine because Papi Robo approves LOL! I'm cool with it not being like the Mando show. This is only my 2nd Luke figure ever (First is SHF ROTJ Luke) and I'm so happy it's not reuse. I'm sure we will see Season 2 Mando Luke, BoBF Luke, Season 3 Mando Luke eventually from all companies.Oh man what about a Mafex Luke??? that would be killer!

Best 1/12 scale Luke of any brand out right now. Just a great lookin figure. That cloak went directly into the trash after opening it tho.

@@discoditto I think so, yes. This is pretty typical for Figuarts. They never do cloth cloaks, robes and capes well.

I got this figure and love it! Except his right leg popped off and when I put it back on it’s super loose and won’t stay on 😭😭😭 anyone have advice to fix it? Because the figure look so good and I don’t it to be a waste
I was kinda on the fence about this guy because I saw some inhand photos that weren’t that great looking. But your review makes him look fantastic.

Oh yeah, definitely that, and that's what I meant about customizing it, changing that out.
My only nitpick with this figure (other than the inaccurate outfit) is the skin tone. He looks kind of jaundiced. It's especially noticeable in the lineup with the other SHF Luke figures.

Full circle…the first video I watched from your channel was about a Jedi Luke figure from a niche (at least to Americans) Japanese line called SH Figuarts….I was trying to find an “affordable” Jedi Luke, because at the time, the original Black Series Luke was $$$ (the one with the “doe” eyes, lol). BOY have times changed…years later, and I’m now re-addicted to action figure collecting, except now, because I buy SO MUCH Figuarts and Mafex, it’s WAY more expensive…THANKS ROBO, lol. BTW, because of you I think I have almost 100 Figuarts and Mafex figures combined…and I LOVE every single one of them…

Ooof, I almost wish I didn't watch this review (no offense) because now the inaccuracies will bug me--but in the end it is a great figure so I don't actually mind. If they make a more accurate Book of Boba Fett Luke down the line that would be great, but for now I'm satisfied with this figure's place in my collection.

Hi there Robo, i sent you a package last week to the PO BOX you use, right now DHL is not delivering it because "they can't deliver to po boxes" even thought they did accept to send it in the first place :/.. The package is in a deposit from them now for the next 30 days they say, please check the info. I don't want that it gets lost.
It would surely seem for the price of these SHF imports they would be more accurate to the stated media source. That said, the head sculpt is probably the best Mark Hamill likeness yet. Maybe a little cross-eyed from dead straight on, but nothing like the Boba Fett abomination. 🤣

It sucks that you have to use a custom cloak, but the rest of the figure looks pretty damn good.
This is easily the best luke in 1/12 form, I think they could have implemented another head tho, maybe one wit the eyes closed to have him meditating
I think he looks great, BUT...he looks slightly cross-eyed. All it takes is for it to be a little off and it's so noticeable.
But as you stated, it's still one of the better looking Lukes and I may have to get one. Do I dare try to fix the eye? (We'll see!)
My only complaint is availability. It’s nigh impossible to get along with Mando and Boba Fett. I’d like to get a few Star Wars figures but all the ones I’d want cannot be bought normally.

@@zaboknowsbest13 Yeah, I mean some of these hit overnight so I missed them, then hit randomly over the next few weeks so because I was working and trying to feed myself I missed them lol. Now they go for almost double the price on ebay. I moved all my collecting away from Star Wars now but wanted to dip back in on certain characters but I cannot even do that and Hasbro figures just don't compare to the S.H. Figuarts ones but I am not paying over $100 for these so I guess its time to just now completely ignore Star Wars which is crazy for me as I've been a lifelong fan, but there is so much other great stuff out there and its easier to ignore the franchises that just make it hard to buy from.
This is very very very late...but I'm thinking this might be a repurposed Luke Skywalker from Battlefront 2. They had the exact same design, I think.

Maybe his eyes look odd because of how the eyelids sit on each side, remembering that nobody's face is symmetrical anyway!
