This Luke has got to be one of my favorite black series figures in the entire line

Not only is this The Mandalorian Season 2 Finale and The Book of Boba Fett Luke but this is also his exact look from Battlefront 2 (2017) and that has always been my ideal version of post-ROTJ Jedi Knight Luke so I absolutely loved getting this figure.

I got mine last week from Hasbro direct. Ordered 2 by accident. It has a nostalgic feeling because I had the 1983 (now Retro) version of this. It was the green lightsaber and his glove that impressed upon me the most. Great memories! Thanks for posting guys!!

I’m surprised this wasn’t re-released as a 40 anniversary return of the Jedi figure because it’s the same outfit from Jabbas palace maybe with a updated cloke

I don't care about The Mandalorian but I did pick this figure up. Vested Luke Skywalker is favorite Luke Skywalker (outside of Grand Master Luke Skywalker in the EU).

Absolutely love this figure, just hope that one day we can get a true accurate Mando Luke using the BoBF parts, and maybe even an updated Jabba’s Palace Luke. So many slightly different variations on his all black outfit lol!

love this figure, definitely up there with my favorites. everytime I see that cara dune fig I kick myself for not picking it up when it was out, I slept on it for too long and then it was gone!! well gone to stupid expensive after market prices. ah well cant have it all. at least I got this Luke, cheers Nate and Justin

The likeness feels way better to me now, comparing to the other ROTJ Lukes side-by-side. Between this Luke and the 40th ROTJ Luke, it's gonna be a tough pick for me personally.

The pics of him in the cloak is why I bought him. I was highly disappointed when I opened him and seen that crappy hood. Lol still a cool fig but I’m definitely changing that cloak ASAP. 😊

Great figure, agree with you about Dagobah Luke....the cloak is a pain but I managed to get mine looking kinda ok from the front but from behind its a mess...the hood would probably be too big on a Hot Toys Luke.

This feels like it could've been the outfit from the escape from Jabba.
It almost is. Gloved hand, belt, and cloak are the differences. I am certain this body sculpt is the new Luke sculpt that would've been one of the Haslab Rancor tiers. -Justin

Tip for if the pin from the blade going into the hilt breaks: buy the 6 inch 5poa like figure and use the lightsaber blade from that- it's the same length and everything, and it plugs in just fine. It's a SLIGHT shade darker of a green color, but I personally liked how it looked. These figures can be found for cheap at a LOT of stores INCLUDING Hobby Lobby

Figure looks great, it takes some work to get the cloak to look good but its not bad. One gripe I have is I wasnt able to remove the hands as I wanted to use the Degobah Luke's open hand as a force gesture.

Great review, accept that I don’t want any wiring in the soft goods for Black Series! I’ll definitely be picking him up soon, and Aliexpress also has real nice black and brown cloaks for Luke, so I’ll be grabbing one or two of those from there.

The cloak hood looks like it will be a problem when displaying this figure. The lightsaber color looks amazing and the sculpt and paint look great 👍. I'm glad they ditched the hook for the saber storage. Definitely looking forward to getting him when I clean out my loot pile at BBTS.

I think the new ROTJ end-scene Luke is going to be the definitive all black Luke (with glove) we’ve been waiting on ever since the original blue-line release almost a decade ago. A long time to wait for a definitive rerelease, although we’ve had some stopgaps along the way, like this subject review Luke. So many scenes to display that upcoming Luke in, including a lightsaber battle with ROTJ Vader, the Emperor blasting him with force lightning, Luke leaning in on a wounded helmet-less Vader, a farewell scene with a dying Yoda, a funeral pyre scene, and more! 😬

This is one of those figures I can't put down and want to buy again whenever I see it. I want every previous Luke re-sculpted by whomever sculpted this figure. Especially farm boy Luke with sculpted clothes. C'mon!

I watered this hood, messed with it, pulled it, smoothed it, dried it and poked it..... Still looks shit! 😂😂 Mine was a nine month pre-order and he went straight upstairs and i haven't looked at it since. That's my experience of Mando Luke. 😂

Great Luke! Personally it is only second to the Comic Heir to the Empire Luke (modded w Han vest and belt).
The face is an obvious problem but it also does somewhat capture the uncanny nature of the deep face in the finale. Would have preferred a more accurate Hamil but you can’t really blame them!😊

I feel like the faceprint varies tremendously, some look great & some look really off, It’s weird. But I love the new body. Can’t wait for the Throne room version & more ROTJ figures.

I LOVE This Luke Skywalker Action Figure. Hasbro Did A EXCELLENT Job On This Action Figure. I've Got Both Hasbro & S.H.FIGUARTS Luke Skywalker MANDALORIAN. And I LOVE The BLACK Hasbro Luke Skywalker. Even Though People Have A SERIOUS Problem With The Robe. But I LOVE This Luke Skywalker Action Figure A Lil Better.

I'm with you on the shitty soft goods. The cloak on the one I got was basically was basically a misshapen rag. The hood was all out of whack and folded over in itself. The whole thing didn't fit him right to begin with. I actually took the thing back to the store got my money back. What a piece of junk. $25 for that!! Sorry Hasbro, you're gonna have to do better.

This Luke is labeled as the Mandalorian appearance but is definitely 100% his RotJ head-sculpt. Which I actually prefer.
The old Walmart exclusive looks more like Martha Stewart or Princess Diana than Mark Hamill.
True but his ROTJ look wouldn't have the belt, a different hand, and a brown cloak. I think you're right though! It was more than likely the figure that would have been a Rancor tier. -Justin
Wish they at least made the cloak out of a heavier material so when you did use water you could mold the shape and it would stick when it dried or add wire to it.
I own both RotJ SHF figures and overall they are both better but this luke is the best RotJ stylized Luke in Black Series by Far.
For real, I think they could do it! I think it just needs to be like 2 pieces of cloth sewn together like Dooku or grevious. -Nate

I agree on the cloak, too much fabric. I spent too much time trying to get the hood to look decent. It reminds me of the Kenobi wave Vader, too much fabric that constantly gets in the way when posing.

Off topic but when it comes to black series pre orders - once they sell out is that the only chance at getting the figure ? Will they come in stock normally for a period of time after the release date ?
Pre-orders will sell out but that doesn't mean the figure won't be stocked online and in-store after the release date. -Justin

Mine came with some weird factory greenish paint mark on the nose and a smudge under the eye, any tips or do I just ride it out?😂
Maybe try some really light nail polish remover to take the marks off? Otherwise you may just have to ride it out. Thanks for watching! -Nate
