Could you please make me one of those fitting on the air pump side. I will pay for it.
Yes, can you message me directly to work out the details, are you on Facebook?
@@crankshaftandco Adrian Andal my fecebook name thanks.
How much would you charge for that air fitting.. please..I would like to purchase one also..thank you
I would like to get one of the air pump fittings as well to test the air pressure. Is that possible and how much?
yeah, me too, you should make these and sell them, you'd might be suprised.
This is a excellent tutorial. I'm dealing with the same thing with a ski that been out of commission for years. Thanks for posting
Thanks for sharing everything. I learn a lot from your videos!!
Thank you men for help me i have the same issue and i solve it grace your video thank you so much
Dude... well done. Thanks for posting this. Very interesting to see.
Nice! I have one coming up with the same problem and not even the profesional shop mechanics can't find what it was. Now with this great video i can figured it out what it is! Thanks a bunch.. and is a great video explaint it
Thanks for subscribing. Go to my ad if you need the test fittings. Thank you.

I need one of those fittings
I'm only getting 75psi air pressure and 100psi in the fuel pressure....I checked for leak, none found.
If I supply 100psi on the air side I get 80psi air and 105 fuel pressure.
Does that mean my air compressor is not pumping up to spec ? Piston, ring and jug is all new for that. I'm not sure what to replace or how to troubleshoot this.
Please advise !
Thank you.
P.S. - I DID BUY YOUR TOOLS TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS, I APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH.
EDIT:
My fuel pressure starts at 25psi.
Good video thanks
Very nice and helpful video
Your videos are very helpful. I am trying to bring a 2000 DI back. I don't have history on the ski. I took out the fuel pump assembly. It has definitely been worked on in the past. There was a 2" rubber 3/8" fuel line connecting the pump to the housing. When I first took it out the line was split. I replaced it and put the assembly back together. With a pressure gauge inline I put the key on you hear the pump come on and pressurize to like 90 psi. It immediately drops to about 72 psi and holds there for a while. I hear a squeak in the engine compartment when I pressurize it. Would my next step be to pull the fuel pressure regulator? When cranking it bounces between 80 and 90 psi. I haven't test the air pump yet. I plan to deadhead the air pump hose into my compression tester using a 5/8" line and hose clamps. I do also have a basic question. If the fuel pump only gets a constant 12 volts, how does it supply 27 psi at key on and 107 while cranking?
I need to get this fittings!
Can you give more detail on how to rig up the pressure gauge?
If you want the pressure test fittings used in the video, I sell them at this website. crankshaftandco.com
Good video. Thanks!. Only thing is its a shame you didn't show how to remove the injection rail.
That is easy just remove two bolts holding it down and pull it off.
I have a 2001 gtx direc injected, my question is. , when I put the key on it should beep more than one time ? If I leave the key it should keep beeping?
What color is this ski? I sprayed one "seaside" from rustolum but like this color better. Looks very close though!
Great source of diagnostic information and technigues. Are you still making the fuel rail airline test fitting? If so, what is the cost and how do I go about getting 1 ordered?

I am having similar issues with my 2001 GTX DI.... we tested fuel pressure (GOOD) and air pressure (GOOD), then took apart the fuel/air rail to determine that the 1st injector was leaking and constantly stuck in open position, flooding the plugs.
We had an extremely hard time removing the 1st injector, and we cannot seem to find out what the "injector special removal tool.
Any help on how to remove or reinstall the injectors would be greatly appreciated? Just got 2 new injectors, both still having similar issues and leaking.
Got a 2001 GTX DI. Its throwing a P0335 code. It will idle just fine, but as soon as I give it throttle it throws the maintenance on the gauge and runs in limp mode.
PO335 is wrong pattern sensed on encoder. Not sure how that's fuel/air related, as it seems its the crankshaft sensor.
Right, not related to the fuel or air injection system. Probably bent encoder wheel or tooth.
Well done 👍. Did you get an old air hose and cut the end off and weld it up for tool ? Just trying to figure out how to make one.
Just turned it on the lathe etc. I could probably make you one.
@@crankshaftandco just seeing this. What would the cost be to make it ?
@@scottlee2753 I would think $20 would pay me to make it and ship it to you.
Where do you get parts
Internet vendors like WSM and ebay
I’m still fighting my Di, after rechecking fuel pressure I’m getting like 22 at key on and when running my Gauge is bouncing between 95 and 115. Whats your thoughts?
Is this an oem fuel pump or aftermarket? Some of the aftermarket are so good. Did you check air pressure?
How did you take the rod out? I’ve got to this point but the rod hits the side of the block.
Do you mean the compressor connecting rod? If so you have to remove the crank pin by unthreading the allen screw. To do this you have to remove the pto flywheel and the plastic cap.
Hello Stephanie, sure I make these fittings for both air and fuel pressure testing upon request. Please see my Marketplace ad.

How did you do the bubble test?
Make a soapy water solution and brush it around the fitting. It will bubble up if there is a leak.
90% of the issues on the DIs are related to moisture in the air pump. Thanks for explaining how to run with external air supply. Where did you get the fittings you showed that plug into the air supply?
I made the fittings used in all portions of the video.
Were you able to remove the air piston from the engine without removing the engine from the ski? I didn’t think that was possible, can you explain how to do it without removing the engine?

Did that air pump fix your problem sir? I'm having the same issue
@@midkansaspolebarns2875 yes, I bought just the compressor head with the reed valves off ebay used for ten bucks and it all works now. I actually think the reed valve was warped.
My 3d will start but not idle….any suggestions?
Is it a DI?
Dakota, is it a DI. If so I can help you out.
If my Di fuel pressure test shows 27 psi at key on and holds 107 psi when running and rev’ing is it safe to say my air pump is working correctly?
I would say so, yes. How does it run.
@@crankshaftandco 2001 GTX Di, Starts right up and idles great out the wake zone and then about quarter throttle it starts to miss. Compression is around 120-125, Rave valve rebuilt and cleaned. Cleaned injectors. I have two ski’s with one running great, have swapped coils, MPEM but haven’t found the problem.
@@mikecech6564 have you checked your rectifier. It's a very common problem on these.
I did change it out with an new aftermarket one and it still has the same issue.
